Where Will You See My child?Where Will You See My child?

The Arc of Westmoreland’s ProServ Child Development Program focuses on home-based services. Children receive services in a safe, familiar environment—home, a daycare center, a sitter’s house or at grandma’s. The home-based services offer a natural and more comfortable setting for both the child and the parents/care-givers as they learn and play together. Some evening and weekend session are also available.

Now What?Now What?

An individualized family service plan or IFSP is then developed to meet your child’s needs. Our therapists become part of your team. We will work together to help your child meet his goals in any area of con-cern. We make each session fun. Your child will be engaged in play while developing new skills. These new skills will help your child progress. Our lending library of equipment and toys is also available.

CDP HistoryCDP History The Arc of Westmoreland has been providing learning experiences for children with developmental delays since 1954 when a group of parents began a preschool program for their children. The program has evolved over the

years to become The ProServ Child Development Program with 30 licensed therapists that specialize in working with young children with all levels of delay.

In addition to our early intervention services, the children’s programs include, a parent support and training network, sibling support groups, and a play center that is available for special events and group meetings.

The Service Coordinator’s next visit to your home will be with an independent assessment team. With your input, they will conduct a detailed developmental assess-ment in your home to determine your child’s eligibility for early intervention services.
