Kärcher invented the hot water pressure washer in the 1950’s and has now perfected the heating of water under high pressure with several

patented innovations that deliver significant heating efficiency resulting in 25% or more fuel savings—enough to pay for the equipment in two to three

years, depending the price of fuel and equipment usage. among the innovations: [1] a high-efficiency burner shoots the flame down onto a firebrick floor that deflects the heat evenly back up and around the coil tubing; [2] a dou-ble-pass coil forces the water to pass through the heating chamber twice; and [3] outside air is used to create a thermal insulation barrier around the heating coil while simultaneously pre-heating the air for optimum combustion.
