DESCRIPTION
Four panel gate-fold. It has a smaller fifth panel tear-away reply card with BRM artwork I had to get from the post office. I did the layouts, some of the Photoshop work and helped oversee the printing of this piece onsite. I also helped direct the photo shoot.

It all starts with a strong foundation. One built upon dedication
and commitment. Constructed by student-athletes ready
to make Emmanuel lacrosse all that we hope it can be. By
accepting this challenge, you’ll help lay the groundwork for
our new tradition. You’ll take part in an opportunity unlike any
other and an experience you won’t soon forget. Not simply
because it’s a chance to be part of something great. It’s a
chance to be there from the start.
Meet the CoachAmanda Laws is Emmanuel’s Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach. Previously, she spent two seasons as a Division I assistant coach at the University of New Hampshire, helping the Wildcats to two American East Tournament appearances. She also coached lacrosse at the club and high school levels. Laws served as head coach of the Nor’easter Lacrosse Club from 2005-2007 and as the head coach of the Medford High School girl’s lacrosse team in 2004. While at Medford, she led the Mustangs to a program record for wins in a season and to the program’s first-ever state tournament appearance.
As a player, Laws was a standout goalie at Yale University. During her senior season, the All-Ivy League selection guided the eighth-ranked Bulldogs to a conference championship and a spot in the quarterfinals of the NCAA tournament. Laws earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Yale in 2003. She also holds a master’s degree in sport studies from the University of New Hampshire, and another from Boston College in mental health counseling.
Great Northeast Athletic ConferenceThe 2011 season will be the inaugural year of NCAA participation for the women’s lacrosse program. Emmanuel will play in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). The conference champion will receive an automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA Division III Championship Lacrosse tournament. Participating teams will include Emmanuel College, Emerson College, Lasell College, Mount Ida College, Norwich University, Rivier College, Saint Joseph’s College (ME), Pine Manor College, Simmons College and Saint Joseph College (CT). The Saints will also play a competitive out-of-conference schedule against nationally recognized programs.
About EmmanuelEmmanuel is a coed, residential, Catholic liberal arts and sciences college located in the heart of the city of Boston. Its beautiful 17-acre campus is neighbored by a world-class medical center, two major art museums and Fenway Park. Our vibrant community of 1700 undergrad students gets involved with more than 90 clubs, organizations and activities, 17 Division III varsity athletic teams, Emmanuel College Theater Guild, Filmmakers at Emmanuel, Student Government Association and more.
A strong liberal arts and sciences education has been our proud tradition since 1919. Today we offer more than 30 majors and areas of study, including biochemistry, sport management, accounting, crime and justice, and individualized majors. Our unique location gives students the opportunity to explore real-world experiences through internships, research and strategic partnerships within the Longwood Medical and Academic Area and the city of Boston. Our students have interned with Children’s Hospital Boston, Arnold Worldwide Advertising, the Massachusetts State House and professional sports organizations including the Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics and Major League Lacrosse, whose headquarters are in town.
FacilitiesThe Saints’ home venue is unlike any in Boston. The team plays on the brand-new synthetic turf field at Roberto Clemente Field, located across the street from Emmanuel’s campus. With its open-stadium design and the city’s skyline as its backdrop, Clemente Field makes for a unique playing experience. The facility is outfitted with new MUSCO lighting, scoreboard and plenty of spectator seating. In addition, the Saints have access to a state-of-the-art training facility in the Jean Yawkey Center and a new film room for game tape review and scouting. The St. Joseph Hall Fitness Center is updated with new platforms, racks, free weights, plate-loaded equipment and a separate cardio room.
“I had the distinct honor and pleasure to coach Amanda at Yale
University. Based on her work ethic and character, I have no doubt
the Emmanuel College women’s lacrosse program will find much
success and graduate young women ready to be positive role
models for future student-athletes.”
-Amanda O’Leary Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach, University of Florida
“Emmanuel College offers its students the opportunity to develop
their many interests. I look forward to building the women’s
program and making lacrosse a significant piece of the overall
experience for my student-athletes.”
