“We have 110% confidence in Dr. Rao first and 100% confidence in Vaastu second.”

- Mr. Uttam Agarwal

Basically the “Jagdamba Group” is into textiles from past fifty years. Earlier they had the dealership of all the seven Lalbhai group mills for the states of West Bengal, Bihar & Assam. “Ishwardas Jhabarmal” their trading firm sold cloth bales to wholesalers who subsequently re-sold the fabric to semi-wholesalers etc. In 1991, after the mills started winding up - the “Jagdamba Group” put up this process house to cater to their clientele of school uniform manufacturers etc.

Mr. Uttam Agarwal did his schooling and graduation from Ahmedabad After his graduation his uncles Ramakantbhai and Yogeshbhai started the Shri Jagdamba Textiles Pvt. Limted. Mr. Uttam Agarwal has been with this unit ever since.

We met with

Even though we knew of Vaastu early-on, we did not have confidence on any Vaastu consultant. In fact the image prevailing in our mind at that time was that Vaastu involved a lot of “tod phod” (changes in the building involving wholesale destruction of the existing structure.) “No Destruction. No Salvation” was the mantra we heard constantly from Vaastu consultants. We were therefore wary of any Vaastu engagement, even though at the bottom of our heart we were Vaastu believers.

It was approximately about eight or nine years ago when we were introduced to Dr. Ravi Rao. He came as a pleasant changed from the other Vaastu consultants we had seen or heard about. He never pressed himself upon us. An interesting point is that though he had become a good family friend he visited our factories and residences for

On initial Vaastu experiences

How did you come to know Dr. Ravi Rao?

Vaastu consultation a full three years after we were introduced. First he visited our Dholka works. Dr. Rao’s style suited us marvelously. No shock treatments of any sort.

It was only after we met Dr. Rao that we realized Vaastu was much more than just “tod-phod ” You may not believe in this but in Dho l ka we saw d ras t i c improvement in just two days of making some of the changes he suggested! And then with the passage of time we came to rely more and more on him. Now we have 110% confidence in Dr. Rao first and 100% confidence in Vaastu second.

After Dholka, Dr. Rao visited our homes and also this factory. Here, he asked us to exchange our office with that of the staff and he also changed the direction of our seating arrangements.

The main difference that occurred after the change of the office location and seating arrangement was the way in which we approached our problems. Our mind-set changed totally. Earlier, we would get tense and worked up at the drop of a hat but after the changes we gained confidence in ourselves. We felt that we had acquired the wherewithal to cope with any problem that cropped up. We became composed and relaxed. Even big problems didn’t perturb us too much. Mentally we became very strong.

Now, we have come to the stage when we do absolutely nothing without asking him. We are

in constant touch with him on phone, mobile, e-mail etc. But, to be really honest, even that is not necessary because, by now, we know what is needed from us and what we should not be doing.

Why big expansion we will not undertake even a minor expansion without his advice.

Since the past five years or so belief in Vaastu has firmed up in Gujarat. Even builders are assuring their buyers that the houses they are

selling are as per Vaastu. But even now, some industrialists are reluctant to put up the initial capital needed for the Vaastu changes. They hesitate too much and then do too little with the result they see little or no improvements. I believe that if one is opting for Vaastu changes he should understand the subject and get into the comfort zone with the Vaastu consultant. When it comes to making Vaastu changes, rather than doing the minimum required they should do the maximum possible.

Would you go for any major expansion without Dr. Rao’s advice?

Yes, it is true. It is complicated but possible. There is no rule book on the subject. One has to take into account the whole gamut of operatives prevailing at that moment and place and then rise to the occasion. Once you have mastered the art then one can move farther than just home-cricket matches and extend the art to other areas as well. I have had a successful innings of predictions on the USA basket ball team based on the NBA squad’s jersey numbers. In my own case, I have been successfully helping high net worth international investors with stakes in commodities and stocks. Currently I am researching the IPL matches.

Dr. Ravi Rao

One incident I recall very clearly. It is almost magical. It involves Dr. Rao’s favorite hobby – cricket. In the early days he would play cricket with us on Sundays on the AEC grounds. These were casual tournament between friends, almost like home cricket. Of course, now time doesn’t permit him, but I am talking about a period eight or nine years ago. On one such day we were all playing and our team was batting. We were coming closer and closer to the winning target score. All of a sudden Dr. Rao announced that in so and so over we would win. And , right on the dot we won on the over he had predicted. It became a game in itself. Dr. Rao would predict not just the over but even the batsmen that would hit the winning stroke. Of course he did not reveal this to all. It was a confidential insider tip between him, me and my cousin. Later there was a Volleyball tournament arranged by Gujarat sports club and we gave the date of birth of all our players to Dr. Rao for him to give us the lucky numbers for the T-shirts. We actually printed the numbers he gave us and it was a real booster dose for us. Home Cricket tales
