• As we become more of a global company it has become apparent that we need to standardize the ways that we communicate in order to gain maximum efficiency.
• The 4D process was created via a collaboration of the global quality leaders and is intended to simplify communications between regions and standardize the minimum information required to properly address quality concerns.

• Basic info like:• Who?• What?• When?• Where?• How Many?
•Collection sites defined within the process for daily reporting to the manufacturing facilities. •Your regional quality teams can provide you with a blank form.

A good problem description will describe “what is wrong with what” and will provide as much detail as possible.Example:Right after the lunch rush on Mondays the barrel #2 fill switch fails to enable and results in an error message and the need for a manual reset.Bad example: The fill switch fails
Please submit the 4D to the people listed in this section of the document for proper tracking.
There is a tab for pictures. Please if at all possible request a picture of the issue. “A picture is worth 1000 words.”
