1. GLOSSARY
RADIO BUTTONS - Radio button
A radio button or option button is a graphical control element that allows the user to choose only one of a
predefined set of options. Radio buttons are arranged in groups of two or more and displayed on screen as,
for example, a list of circular holes that can contain white space (for unselected) or a dot (for selected).
URL LINK - An internet address (for example, http://www.hmhco.com/about-hmh), usually consisting of the
access protocol (http), the domain name (hmhco.com), and optionally the path to a file or resource residing on the server where the domain name resides
FEEDER ZONE AREA - the area from which people are allocated to a particular school.
POLYGON - a plane figure with at least three straight sides and angles, and typically five or more.

2.LOGIN & COMPLETING SURVEY FORM Click on the highlighted link found in the email you received, which will direct you to the feeder zone survey form.
Fill in the 13 questions located on the feeder zone survey form. Some questions will require you to click on the following radio buttons:
Once you have completed the survey questions click on the link at the bottom of the form, that says
A pop-up will appear On the pop-up click “Yes” if you are satisfied with all your answers on the survey form to continue to the map, alternatively click “No” if you need to make any changes to your answers on the survey form.

3. MAP
You will find your school located with a blue marker.
ZOOM FUNCTION
Zoom in or out using the zoom symbols located on the top left corner of your screen for a detailed view.
POLYGON DRAWING FUNCTION
To draw your feeder zone area, click on the ‘draw a polygon’ symbol located on the top right corner of your screen. Click and release on the map to start drawing the shape.

Drag the mouse cursor to the second position on the map, click and release to draw the second point of the shape
Continue drawing the shape in a clock wise direction

To complete the polygon (shape) click and release on the first point of the shape where you started to draw or click If you made a mistake with the previous point click and continue the shape as desired.
EDIT POLYGON FUNCTION
If you want to edit the polygon shape you can click on the edit layers symbol . Note the change in polygon shape lines
Now you can change the shape. Click, hold and drag the points to desired position. Click to Save the changes made to the shape Click on the top right corner to save the map. The Survey is now Complete.

LAYERS FUNCTION
To identify your Feeder zone area easier, you can use the satellite map Click on the layers symbol located on the top right corner to open the different options available Note there is 4 options available, we will only use 2 of the options available.
