Instructions:Sand memo board and wipe off any dust with a rag. Preparesurface by basecoating front, back and edges with 2-3 coats ofBUTTERMILK. Let dry well between coats. Basecoat engravedarea with 2-3 coats of DEEP MIDNIGHT BLUE. While piece is

drying, trace pattern onto tracing paper, using 0.05 micron blackmarking pen. When piece is completely dry, transfer pattern ontomemo board using graphite paper and stylus.Do not transfer faces or details yet. You can do this after youbasecoat the main pattern areas.Paint pattern as follows:

Squares:

Stencil squares across top and bottom of memo board withWILLIAMSBURG BLUE. Let dry well. Stencil squares again on theleft side, lightly with LIGHT BUTTERMILK. Let dry well. Usingstylus and LIGHT BUTTERMILK, dot squares.

Wallpaper:Basecoat wide stripes with WILLIAMSBURG BLUELeave narrow stripes BUTTERMILK

Shade wide stripes with DEEP MIDNIGHT BLUEShade narrow stripes with CAMELWith stylus and WILLIAMSBURG BLUE, dot narrow stripesWith stylus and LIGHT BUTTERMILK, dot wide stripes onoutside edges
