MONSTER MAZECan you navigate around these weird creatures to the bottom of the ocean?

START HERE...

Beware!A gulper eel lives here and can swallow things much

bigger than itself because of its immense, gaping hungry

jaws... swim back!

Swim away! The colossal squid can grow as long as a school bus. It’s strong, beak-

like mouth can cut through steel cable.

Colossal squid have the world’s biggest eyeballs

– each one is bigger than a dinner plate.

Colossal squid grab prey with

their 8 arms and 2 long tentacles.

Right this way! Some rockfish, living about

9800ft below the ocean surface, are more than 200 years old!

FOLLOW SOME OLD AGE WISDOM... GO

THIS WAY!

Not this way! For its size (it’s no

bigger than a pencil case), the scary little

fangtooth has the largest teeth in the ocean. It can’t even close its mouth, its teeth are so big!

Wrong turn! The vampyroteuthis

infernalis – which translates to the ‘vampire squid from hell’ slowly ‘flies’ through

the water looking around with huge glowing red or blue

eyes. Lucky it is only as long as a ruler!

Come on through! Some stingrays are so tame

they will come right up to you. They don’t actually ‘sting’, but they do have a pointy barb under their tail that they use

for protection.

More people have walked on the Moon than been to the deepest part of the ocean:

Number of people who have walked on the Moon

Number who have been to the deepest part of the ocean

DID YOU KNOW?

...YOU MADE IT! YOU REACHED THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN!

MUM ALWAYS TELLS ME TO EAT WITH MY MOUTH OPEN!

The Hahnenkamm Downhill Race in Austria is

the scariest downhill ski course on the planet. It takes less than

two hair-raising minutes for the world’s best skiers to zoom down the extremely steep and difficult course at up to 140km/h (87mph)!
