2. Eligible Program Products PCA may add additional product examples to the lists of accepted and not-accepted products. Please see the product updates page at www.electrorecycle.ca for a chronological list of updates. PCA will also provide updates to your collection site on a periodic basis.

2.1. Approved and Acceptable Program Products

2.1.1. Small Appliances Only products that are powered by 120 Volt AC power, 12 Volt power and/or batteries and are designed for household use can be accepted in the Program. For additional details and pictures of appliances accepted in the program, please refer to Appendix I of this manual. NOTE: Small appliances on this list containing excessive food debris, garbage or animal dropping will not be accepted. Examples include, but are not limited to: deep fryers still full of oil, vacuums with full canisters or bags, crock pots full of food, microwaves with food inside. Please note that appliances do not need to be washed, as it is expected that many program products will arrive used.

2.1.2. Power Tools

Portable/mobile electronic or electrical tools with a power cord, plug and/or battery(ies). Program products include, but are not limited to, those used for bending, cutting, drilling, folding, grinding, milling, polishing, punching, sanding, sawing, shearing, soldering, turning, welding, or otherwise processing wood, metal or other materials, including battery powered hand tools. Program products also include those used for measuring and for nailing, riveting, screwing or removing nails, rivets or screws. Tools that meet any of the definitions above are included in the program regardless of whether they are marketed for household, industrial or commercial purposes.
