Dawn Downing - Project Manager
I have worked for the Trust since October 2007, I started as a PA on a 6 month contract but somehow I am still here. After a few years as a PA I moved into Medical Staffing
briefly and I have been in the E-Rostering Team since July 2012.
Outside of work I can usually be found walking my naughty Beagle Henry Downing, 'socialising' with friends or working
my way through a mountain of ironing. I 'enjoy' running (sort of) and I love spending time with my family and
watching the mighty MCFC continue their domination of the English Premier league.
Byron Doyle— Systems & Implementation Lead
Working for the NHS is great. I first started my NHS career in 2009, working in A&E reception before
transferring to the E-Rostering team back in 2014. Add 6 months invaluable experience working for an E-Rostering team at a different trust and that’s my working timeline.
E-Rostering is an effective tool which, when implemented successfully, allows improved workforce management of both substantive and temporary staff. The E-Rostering
Team here at Tameside work hard with all staff to deliver the best service to EOL & Health Roster users.
Outside of work I enjoy a number of things, mainly
watching my 8 year old daughter competing all over the UK in Latin & Ballroom competitions (she’s a UK
champion by the way). I’m also a follower of Manchester United & also sampling some of the world’s finest lagers
in the local pubs.

Dawn Jones - eRostering & Revalidation Lead
I have worked at the Trust since March 14, I started as a HR Adviser
supporting the Surgery and Women and Children Division. I moved
into the Corporate Nursing team as the Nurse and Midwifery
Revalidation Project Coordinator in October 15. Toward the end of
2016 I joined the E-Rostering team I took on a dual role of E-Roster
Implementation and Revalidation Lead.
Prior to working at the Trust I worked at 2 other NHS trusts, Pennine
Care and Pennine Acute were I initially started working as an
administrator in the Governance department and then moved into
HR as a HR Assistant and progressed to a HR Adviser whilst com-
pleting my CIPD at the Oldham University Centre.
Outside of work I like! to run and I am a member of Mossley
Running club which is a very friendly and sociable club. I have an
18 year old daughter who I provide a mum’s taxi service to and I
have also just adopted a rescue dog called Bear so between them
both they keep me busy. But most importantly I always find time to
socialise (drink alcohol) with my friends.

Jasmine McVety - Maintenance & Support
I recently started at the Trust in October 2017 as an
apprentice in the E-rostering team and in the next month
or so once my course is complete I will become a
permanent member of the E-Rostering team.
Previous to working here I worked in customer service
type roles and also taught both children and adults
mixed martial arts/kickboxing. Outside of work I'm
usually spending time with my family and friends, mostly
with my partner and our 5 years old son Cody.

Useful Information—Tips for Ward Managers/ Roster maintainers
1. Always check the work time when you add an unavailability such as Study Leave to ensure the
correct number of hours have been assigned
2. Check overtime is assigned correctly. Specifically the correct rate and the correct duration.
3. Try to finalise duties weekly to ensure your roster is up to date and that you don’t have such a
big task to do at the end of the month.
4. Please keep us up to date with any patterns or restrictions employees have. Flexible working
agreements should be reviewed at least annually. The E-Rostering team can provide you with a
list for your ward/department but you must keep us updated of changes.
5. Employees wherever possible should book and take approximate amounts of annual leave
within the following time scales:
40% of annual leave is booked and taken by 31st August
75% of annual leave is booked and taken by 31st Dec
100% annual leave is booked and taken by the 21st March
