CONCLUSIONS • Micro Surfacing Rut Filling is a Structural Treatment in the
sense of reducing surface related distresses that can accelerate structural failure.
• Micro Surfacing reduced strains at top of the HMAC Layer. – Horizontal Strain reduced by 62% – Shear Strain reduced by 47% – Micro Surfacing also appears to demonstrate structural
properties by reducing vertical deflections up to 24% where apriori deflections are > 1.0 mm.
