PROGRAM DAY 1: MOSCOW/LIMA Arrival to Lima. Transfer to the hotel. Check-in. Overnight. DAY 2: LIMA 09:00 - Visit to colonial Lima, including the main square, the cathedral, the presidential palace, the San Francisco monastery, and Guaca Guayamarca, the Inca center of worship. Excursion to the modern areas with beautiful parks, squares and avenues. Visit to the romantic "Park of Love" with a giant sculpture in the form of " A Couple of Andean lovers". Return to the hotel. DAY 3: LIMA – PARACAS – NAZCA Early departure to Parakas (3-hour drive). Upon arrival in Paracas, you will go to the port, get onto the boat and from here the journey to the Ballestas Islands will begin. On the way you will be able to see the famous Candelabra - a picture made on hardened sand and located in the north-west of the Paracas Bay, between the beaches of Martin and Talpo. The size of the picture is more than 120 meters. Ballestas Islands (small Galapagos) is a home for sea lions, Humboldt penguins, dolphins, pelicans and more than two hundred species of birds. Two hours later - return to the port of Paracas and transfer to the city of Ica (1-hour drive). 14:00 - Lunch in the restaurant (included in the tour price). After lunch, those who wish will visit the Oasis of Huacachina. The waters of this oasis can heal. 16:00 - Transfer to the city of Nazca (2-hour drive). Check-in at the hotel. Fans of extreme sports can ride the dunes on special cars, accompanied by experienced drivers (extra cost). DAY 4: NAZCA – AREQUIPA 07:30 - Departure from the hotel to fly over the famous and mysterious lines in the Nazca desert - a series of drawings of geometric figures, animals and birds up to 300 m long, inscribed on dry sandy bark of the desert and preserved for almost 2000 years due to the unique weather conditions of these places. The most popular and best figures are a hummingbird, a dog, a monkey, a spider, an astronaut, a condor, etc. Each of them is about 30 cm deep. Flight duration - 30 minutes. Return to the hotel for breakfast. Free time. 14:00 - Departure to Arequipa. Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Arequipa is the second largest city in Peru. It is located in the south of the country, at the foot of the volcanoes of Chachani, El Misti and the snow-capped mountain of Pichu Pichu. Arequipa is often called the "White City", since most of the buildings are built of white volcanic stone. The historical center of the city in 2000 was included to UNESCO World Heritage Site. DAY 5: AREQUIPA 09:00 - City tour of Arequipa, visiting modern areas, such as Selva Alegre. Visiting the Plaza de Armas - the central square of Arequipa and the famous "Santa Catalina" monastery. The monastery was founded in September 1579 under the patronage of St. Catalina of Civil. Until 1970, its doors were closed to the outside world thanks to which it preserved the untouched atmosphere of the 16th - 17th centuries. Santa Catalina is a paradise for photographers who can catch the nuances of lighting on narrow streets or shoot bright flowers in the sunlight in dark cells and junctions. The current convent (there are about 20 nuns here now) is a real city in the city, surrounded by giant walls, with small streets inside, named after the names of Spanish cities (Toledo, Granada, etc.). Built in 1580, it was opened for tourists only in 1970 and immediately became the main attraction of Arequipa. DAY 6: AREQUIPA – CHIVAI (COLCA CANYON) 08:00 - Transfer to Chivai (5-hour drive). The road runs through the Pampa Cañahuas National Park. You can see the snow-covered peak of the volcano Chachani, with grazing vicuñas, alpacas and lamas. Stopping at Patapamp's observation platform (at an altitude of 4800 meters above sea level), from here you can see a magnificent view of the majestic volcanoes and snow-capped mountain peaks. DAY 7: CHIVAI (COLCA CANYON) - PUNO 06:00 - Departure to the deepest canyon in the world - Colca. The depth of the canyon is 3400 m, which exceeds the depth of the Grand Canyon in the USA by more than 1000 m. On the edge of the cliff along the canyon there are a few special viewing platforms from which you can watch the condors - the true kings of the Andes, sung in many works of Peruvian folklore. Then drive to Puno (7-hours drive). Check-in at the hotel. Tasting "Mate de Coca" (a traditional Peruvian drink made of coca leaves). DAY 8: PUNO 08:00 - Tour to Lake Titicaca, the highest mountainous shipping lake in the world (3,800 m above sea level), the second largest lake in South America which is located on the border between Peru and Bolivia. Cane (“totora”) grows everywhere here, from which, from ancient times to this day, floating islands and huts are built and famous boats are made. You will visit the famous floating islands "Uros" made entirely of totora. In

the afternoon you will visit the archaeological complex Chulpas Silustani (necropolis in the form of towers) - the cult construction of the era that preceded the domination of the Incas. DAY 9: PUNO – CUSCO 07:00 - Transfer by bus to the city of Cusco. Stops on the way: in La Raja (4400 m above sea level) and Pucara. On the way, visit the archaeological complex "Raqchi". 18.00 - arrival in Cusco, check-in at the hotel. Free time. DAY 10: CUSCO Cusco: In translation from the Quechua language, Cusco means "the navel of the earth". According to the legend, the city was founded in the XII century. The first Inca Manko Kapak - Son of the Sun, who symbolically marked his stay by stuck in the ground golden rod. The ancient city was rebuilt by Spanish conquerors, who erected colonial palaces and Catholic churches on the foundations of the stone walls of the era of the Inca Empire. In the central square of the Plaza de Armas, two flags are always raised: the red-white Peruvian and the rainbow flag, symbolizing the ancient empire of Tihuantinsuyo. 09.00 - City tour: visiting the famous Korikancha temple ("Palace of the Sun"), as well as four neighboring ruins of the city of Cusco: Fortress "Saksaouaman", the temple of "Kenko", "Puka Pukara" and "Bath of the Incas." DAY 11: CUSCO – MACHU-PICCHU– CUSCO Departure to the railway station from where you will go by train to the town of Aguas Calientes. A full day excursion to Machu Picchu - the lost city of the Incas. Machu Picchu (Old Mountain) was built in the XV century by the Inca emperor Pachacutec. After the defeat of the Inca Empire by the Spaniards, the city was forgotten almost for three hundred years. It was discovered in 1911 by American professor Hiram Bingham. The city is built entirely of stone, using all the space in harmony with functionality: temples, palaces, external staircases, springs with water and the agricultural zone where the andenes are built - huge stepped terraces for farming. Archaeologists believe that the city had a purely religious purpose, since Bingham found a cemetery where only women were buried, so it is believed that it was a huge monastery of akias (young women) and a refuge for Bishop Cusco. Machu Picchu is located on the territory of 32,592 hectares. In 2007, declared by UNESCO as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. 14:00 - lunch is served. 16:00 - return to the city of Cusco by train. Height: Machu Picchu 2400 m. DAY 12: CUSCO - LIMA Breakfast. Transfer to the airport. Flight to Lima for connection international flight to Moscow.
