DST also launched their “Put Your Change to Work” campaign and put "Donation Meters" up and down the corridor to help stop the perpetuation of panhandling, encourage a great way to give and support the program that’s gotten many panhandlers out of homelessness. The Program is also about developing life skills, critical thinking, the ability to work effectively in teams, and connections that will facilitate fulfilling careers. When Littles accept their diplomas, they enter the workforce knowing that anything is possible. Some become community leaders and many Little alumni have come back to volunteer or work at Big Brothers, Big Sisters. Most are involved in giving back to their communities in one way or another. In fact, 84% of Littles say their Big taught them the importance of helping others.
