  • We were playing jacks with five small stones in the entryway to our house, sheltered from the rain and away from Grandmother. She didnt like us playing jacks in the living area because the stones made marks on the wooden floor, but more so because we were noisy when we played. As all traditional houses in Korea, our house had very little privacy. If we wanted to play loudly or talk away from adults ears, we had to move away from the main section From The Long Season of Rain
