Vizag round table 77 was inaugurated on the 14th of August 1983 and

chartered on the 18th of December 1983. It was sponsored by the Vijayawada

round table 68. VRT 77 further went on to sponsor three tables in the city of

destiny, Visakhapatnam; as follows:

We believe that, with fellowship comes everything else, all the facets of tabling.

This quarter has seen some all round performances in all the facets of tabling at

VRT 77. Fellowship as the fore-runner, Community service, Twinklers activities

and Publicity with little bit of Go Green activity forms this quarter report.

What happened till date :

The 29th table AGM was held on the 21st July 2012 at Neptune hall at The Park

hotel. Tr.Dr.Raghu took over as the chairman for the year 2012-13.

Major milestones achieved –

Tr.Deepak elected as NST 2012-13 and Tr.Ameet Mirpuri as national fellowship

convener during the COB held at Mumbai.

The table won its first ever international award “Best Fellowship Award” at ASPA

held during the COB at Mumbai.

A total of 10 awards and 2 COM’s at the Area 9 AGM held on 25th August at

Hyderabad. Tr.Shashank was also nominated as Area Editor ,Area 9

Nominations being sent for Tr.Deepak for NVP 2013-14 and Tr.Dr.Raghu for TTE

2013-14.

Meetings:

On the administration front regular meetings have been held as per the

guidelines of RTI Blue book. A total of 5 meetings were held during this quarter.

Sufficient days notice was sent to all prior conducting the meeting. Meetings were

held strictly on establishment of quorum (i.e. 9 tablers).

Average attendance of the table stands at 79 % without any credits and 88% with

credits. 8 tablers are having 100 % attendance till the end of 5 meetings.

With the National fellowship convenor Tr.Ameet Mirpuri in the table , the

activities are bound to be rocking. A total of 36 activities form the core of the 1st

quarter.

To name a few important events …………….The year started with the COB being

held at Mumbai attended by 10 heads and followed by the 29th AGM of VRT 77

“Kya Socha Kya Hua” being held at the Park hotel. A total of 104 heads for the

table AGM forms the success of the AGM. The 11th AAGM with 15 heads from

Vizag for the La Dolce Vita AAGM held at Hyderabad had lots of fun from the time

the train journey started at Vizag till we returned our home.

Apart from the above ; birthday wishes of the tablers , cakes for the twinklers on

their birthdays , movie fellowships etc are always forms the rest part of the

fellowship activities.

The detailed report of the fellowship activity as follows:

July 12th:

The 41ers AGM was conducted at “The Oyster”, Waltair Club which was attended

by heads. It’s always a pleasure to meet the Sq.legs who always share loads of

information of the journey of formation of VRT 77. All the tablers who attended the

AGM had a wonderful time with party going on till wee hours.

July 13th till July 15th:

13 is considered as the unluckiest number for many across the globe. But it was

the luckiest day for the bunch of 11 people from Vizag who were travelling to

Mumbai to witness the gala event.

The celebrations continued with Tr.Deepak taking charge as NST 2012-13 and

Tr.Ameet Mirpuri , National Fellowship Convener from VRT 77 and Tr.Vishnu Hari

Daga , Greeting Cards Convener from VVRT 213. These three guys have made it

large in the year 2012-13 by representing at the highest level of RTI.

On the return to Vizag , we were welcomed by all our members at the airport to

greet the Chairman Tr.Ameet for not only taking charge as National Fellowship

Convener but also for winning for the first ever award for VRT 77. Kudos to team

VRT 77.

July 17th

Tr.Sandeep invited the entire table to his residence for much needed get

together which was truly enjoyed with different varieties of snacks and desserts.

Attended by a very good number and had a very good time.

July 21st

“Kya Socha Kya Hua” – The 29th AGM of VRT 77.

The chief guest of the function Tr.Deepak Menda , NST 2012-13 and the area

observer Tr.Kishore , AVC Area 9 were the dignitaries for the 29th AGM which

was held at the Neptune Hall, The Park. Tr.Dharmaraju Cheruku retired on this

very day and two prospects Inder and Abhishek were inducted. Showers of

praise were poured on Tr.Ameet and congratulations were greeted to

Tr.Dr.Raghu for accepting the mettle of Chairmanship.

The biggest surprise of the evening was for the outgoing Chairman Tr.Ameet , the

bachelor boy ; 8 different solo dance performances marked the “Swayamwar

function” for Tr.Ameet. Phew!!!!

July 23rd :

It was time to celebrate the birthday of our new member’s wife Anisha Nayak

(Tr.Abshishek’s wife). With wishes pondering from all corners, the couple were

so excited that they invited the entire table to their residence and the

celebrations took place with cake cutting followed by fellowship till 2 am until it

started raining.

July 25th :

Movie fellowship to “Cocktail” was arranged at Varun’s Inox. 18 heads attended

the same.

July 27th :

It was the turn of one of the fellowship guys bday Tr.Jaydeep. Cake was taken to

his work place and he was very delighted to see few guys calling him on on a

busy working day.

July 28th :

The day started with Kids fellowship to the movie “Ice Age 4” at Jagadamba

theater. More details under Twinklers report.

Its the teasers that made everyone think that they will be missing the fun ; if they

fail to attend the fellowship at the “Som Place Else” at The Park. What a time

everyone had , what excitement. Oh boy , one needs to be there to be part of the

fellowship.

August 4th :

Saturday means Tablers should go to their 2nd home i.e. Chrome. With too many

fellowships one was missing the home and this time it was much needed break

for all to spend some time at the second home ; Chrome.

August 5th :

Tr.Shrawan and Reena invited the entire Table to celebrate their daughters 2nd

bday at the Park. More details in Twinkler’s Convener report.

August 7th :

Its Rajini Chitra’s birthday ; our ex-secretary’s wife. A chocolate cake with loads

of wishes from the table at their residence in the evening with lots of smiles

around was the package to the birthday girl. Happy birthday Rajini….

10th August :

Karaoke nights was back in CHROME after a long time It was attended in good

numbers. KJ Anand set the mood for the night with a few songs and then the rest

of us joined in the singing. Few tablers even tried out singing to the tune of the

party which actually came out well. But the group performance for the Hindi song

was hilarious, yet all enjoyed trying their singing skills. A very good fellowship at

the end!!!

15th August :

The day started with visiting all the three RTI schools built by VRT 77. The details

of which are covered in the Community service. Following which, tablers and

ladies had a breakfast fellowship at Tycoon. We had a movie fellowship for “EK

THA TIGER” which was the actually a fundraiser by the VVRT 213. We made it

into a fellowship and supported them in big numbers.

17th August :

IFTAAR party hosted by all the tables at Vizag after a very long time. at the Park

hotel. Some lip smacking dishes were served esp Haleem , Murg Salaan , Paya

Shorba etc on the beach lawns adding color to the complete event. Wonderful

time and above all best inter table fellowship.

18th August :

Finally the “FELLOWSHIP BASKET” arrived Vizag. The brain child of Area 9 board

has started and found its way to City of Destiny – Vizag and inauguration took

place at Tr. Abhilash, Chairman VKRT 225 residence. The event was attended by

not only Vizag tablers but also tablers from Hyderabad and Vijayawada.

20th Aug to 23rd August :

The new babies of the table Tr.Abhishek and his wife Anisha were in the thick of

the things especially with the arrangements of the AAGM theme or rather the skit

allotted to us ; “The Pirates of the Sea”. Four days of practice, ten participants,

three different varieties of drinks and one chorographer formed the preparation

for the skit.

24th August :

The day has finally come. All the tablers were set to leave to Vizag in the pm

hours to Hyderabad. Chairman was carrying extra large bag for getting few

awards from the AAGM. The journey started with apprx 75 heads from all the

tables of Vizag and the train was just rocking with people shouting, laughing and

partying.

25th August :

The initial AAGM session saw VRT 77 winning 7 Awards and 1 Certificate of Merit

and all awards being presented through the hands of National President Tr.Vineet

, IPP Tr.Ashwinn and National Secretary Treasurer Tr.Deepak.

26th August :

Finally when the AAGM session started the tally by VRT 77 stood at 10 Awards

and two Certificate of Merit’s.

As the Chairman’s banquet was about to complete all of us had to leave the hotel

and rush to the railway station to catch up the respective departure schedule and

reach Vizag. As against everyone’s expectation , the party in the train did not lose

the momentum and spirits were high as always.

27th August :

You cannot keep any Tabler quiet for long time. That is what happened exactly

when we reached Vizag. A host of tablers and ladies of our 77 family with

garlands and live band was ready welcoming us as we got out of the train. It was

very weird to gain the attention of all the passengers on the platform but the

efforts put by Sq. Leg Aanand Khara , Kavita Khara , Tr. Sandeep Choudhari and

Tr. Suresh at 05.30 am with all the arrangements was just amazing which will be

cherished for the rest of our life . Its moments like these which make us feel

“Proud to be a Tabler”.

28th August :

A day full of surprises………………………………

Tr.Ameet , IPC was all set to return from China and we have planned a day full of

surprises for his arrival at Vizag. It all started with the surprise reception to

receive him at the airport for which he was overwhelmed to see us. The surprise

did not end there , but pushed us all to have Rascal fellowship at his residence

post dinner. But Tr.Ameet did not have any other option to avoid us and

welcomed with open arms only to see his house ransacked by his very own VRT

77. Amazing time……………………………………..

1st Sept :

Its Saturday and it implies we have to go to 2nd home ie Chrome. We had a

fellowship at Chrome dancing to the tunes of DJ Chico. In all 11 of us have

attended the fellowship which went on till wee hours. Nice way to reduce the

hangover after an scintillating meeting completion.

6th Sept :

Time for some mob fellowship. Too much gap on the fellowship front is never

welcomed in 77 and this time we had “Beach Butta Ice Cream” fellowship. Inspite

of very short notice , the attendance was quite good. Excellent time to refresh

ourselves.

7th Sept :

We had a fellowship at Someplace Else at the Park with fusion night as the theme.

There was more reason to party here as Tr. Rahul of VKRT 225 was playing the

drums to cheer the crowd.

9th Sept :

The charter day of Area 9 and time for

some fellowship. We decided to meet for

lunch at Chrome on Sunday which was

attended in good numbers . Later in the

evening we had movie fellowship “Raaz 3”

at Varun INOX. All in all good day of

fellowship events.

10th Sept :

Its Manjee’s bday (HT Dharmaraju’s

spouse). Wishes pondered over on the

bday girl and poor HT Kiran was forced to

invite the 77 family for evening fellowship

at Jack Frost. The numbers are always

very good and the fun was just unlimited.

11th Sept :

Its Hema’s bday (Sq.Leg Hari Krishna’s spouse) on the 12th Sept and this time the

gang planned for midnight surprise at their home for wishing the bday gal. Cake

of her choice and other ladies sprung surprise on her very special day.

14th Sept :

We had movie fellowship for the movie “Barfi” at the Varun Inox. We had a total

of 12 heads attending the event and the best part was everyone liked the movie.

One good movie after a very long time.

15th Sept :

AS informed by the conveners , the Saturday night rocked not just Hotel Park but

almost the entire area at the beach to the tunes of DJ Akbar Sami. The fellowship

was just too good to be missed out. Wonderful time.

18th Sept :

The day started with just a sms message to our AST , Tr.Madhukar wishing him on

his birthday. The bday had his own plans to celebrate his bday ; but the tablers of

VIZAG forced him to throw a party and celebrate the occasion

23rd Sept :

What a day it was ! The day started with movie “Heroine” and upon completion of

the movie all gathered at Chairman’s house. At Chairman’s place we had hot chai

, snacks , watched cricket and above all played poker. While the guys were busy

playing poker, the ladies were busy with their dance on the terrace. A very good

number always makes any fellowship colourful and that’s what exactly happened.

August 9th :

Tr.Dr.Raghu was invited as one of the jury member by Sri Krishna Vidyamandir

for the evaluation of various skits played by the four groups of the students in the

school on the occasion of the “Krishnaastamai”. A group of students presented

the four skits : Birth of Krishna ; Dasavatars ; Krishna’s childhood and his visit to

Mathura.

August 15th – 66th Independence Day celebrations. The complete team of 77 was

divided into three groups and attended all the three RTI schools built by VRT 77.

The details as follows :

Flag hoisting in RTI Vasantha Bala School was done by Chairman Tr.Dr.Raghu, at

RTI Marikvalasa School by Tr. Ameet and in RTI Karasa School by Tr.Deepak

Menda.

Sweets were distributed to more than 700 children in all the three schools which

was sponsored by Chairman Tr.Dr.Raghu.

Prize distribution in Vasantha Bala to the kids who won in various categories of

Sports and education. All the prizes were sponsored by HT. Kiran Cheruku.

Sept 13th – 16th :

“Project Assam” It was the brain child of Tr. Naveen Perla who single handily

conceptualized this activity with thorough research on the issue and was in

constant touch with the NGO’s in Assam He “aspired” and it in turn was an

“inspiration” to all of us at VRT-77 to work for the cause.

6.5 lakh rupees worth material was raised with the support across RTI . A total of

three relief camps were visited and goods like clothes, blankets, mosquito nets,

water filters, mats, utensils and even candles were distributed.

Sept 16th :

Tablers of 77 participated in a Rainwater harvesting awareness drive conducted

by JCI-Vizag chapter. A march was organized with volunteers and tablers holding

placards and walking down from the first station opposite YMCA down to the last

station at the Kali temple, all the while shouting slogans and creating awareness

to the public. A lot of people from the print and electronic media were present for

the coverage, giving the drive a good publicity

Sept 17th :

In an attempt to create Gunniess book of world records drive to collect 1.5 lakh

units of blood in a single day across India and VRT-77 is proud to have

participated in the same, thus deriving publicity for RTI and in general helping to

save a life when in need of blood. A total of 9 people have donated blood at

A.S.Raja blood bank.

Dr.Lakshmi also took an HR sharing her working experiences of Germany visit.

The HR focused mainly on the postures of the body while standing and while

sitting on a chair ; on the do’s and dont’s of the body postures. An excellent HR

which was very well appreciated.

A HR on Go Green towards creating awareness for the use of clay idols of Lord

Ganesha was conducted in association with Pollocks school. Tr.Deepak , NST also

addressed the gathering.

July 17th :

A Kids Fellowship on a Tuesday. Thanks to Student’s Federation of India who had

called for a Strike. Sumedh, Sudheeksha, Hardik, Dhruv, Ishita, Harshita, Vishnu,

Swasya, Adi, Parinati, Kavya & Ganeesa attended. To take care of the kids

Prospect Inder, Jyati Khara, Tr. Ramayya & Hyma, Tr. Sandeep & Sangeeta were

present. The Fellowship started @ 3 pm and kids were very eager to go into the

Game Zone instantly. Twinklers were all excited to see dashing cars, bike racing,

car racing, shooting, ice hockey, table football, play pen, merry go rounds, etc.

Finally after a lot of playing and 2 rounds of Dashing Cars the Kids had Ice

Creams and some snacks to end the day.

July 25th :

It has been a very long time that we all had been to Jagadamba Theatre. Infact it

would have been the first time for a few Twinklers at this Theatre. The fellowship

was attended by Ganeesa, Kavya, Vishnu, Dhruv, Prateek, Pranay, Sumeedh,

Hardik, Samyukta, Sameeksha, HT Kiran, Tr. Naveen, Sangeeta, Lakshmi,

Sukreeta, Sunita Agarwal , Manjeera and few guests & a total of 23 heads.

Fantastic Movie “Ice Age 4 3D” made the Kids thrilled and excited till the End….

August 5th :

It was time to celebrate the 2nd bday of Twklr.Aavni with Angry Birds around.

Almost the entire table and few guests were invited by Tr.Shrawan and Reena

attended the birthday bash of Twklr.Aavni at the Park. The party started in the

evening around 4 pm with all the kids in the swimming pool with their different

accessories to swim. The complete pool was so busy with parents on one side ,

kids on the other side ; fellowship on the other side. Once all the kids and parents

were out of the pool , all were fed with some tasty food prepared in front of them

and not to forget the yummy cake. It was a complete 77 family day out !!!

The convener also informed the floor that he will be following his predecessors

footsteps by personally going to each and every twinkler and handing over the

Cake of their choice on their birthdays.

August 13th –

Twklr Divjot’s bday was celebrated at Tr.D.S.Anand’s ……..ops Sq.Leg

D.S.Anand’s residency (his dad ra babu). Warm hospitality by Tina was always

overwhelming. The day finally ended with much fun not for the bday boy , but for

the people who barged into their house on the occasion of their sons birthday.

August 24th –

It was double damaka at 77. Twlkr. Chaitanya (Dr.Raghu’s son) and Twlkr.Pranay

(HT.Kiran’s son) birthday was celebrated. Since the former bday boy was

travelling with us for the AAGM , the cake and the party was organized in the train

itself. However for Twklr.Pranay the cake was delivered to his residence in the

morning itself. The convener made sure the twklr’s favorite flavor of cake was

presented to them on their special day. Kudos.

Sept 9th :

It’s the Charter day for Area 9. But most importantly we had an extension in

Twklr’s this day. Tr.Deepak Menda, NST and his wife Suku were blessed with

baby boy. What a coincidence that the extension from NST happens on the

charter day of Area9. Was it planned or it just happened…….. Are the doubts of

many…….. We might see future leader in the making for RTI. Congrats to the

proud parents.

Sept 13th :

It was the birthday of two kids; Twlkr.Saranya (Tr.Dr.Suresh daughter) and

Twlkr.Hamza (Tr. Utkarsh son). Birthday cake of their choice was sent to the bday

babies on their special day. Though the convener was done with viral fever, he

made sure the cake was delivered to them on their special day. Kudos.

Sept 23rd :

Exam fever was hovering the house of all the kids and few parents were kind

enough to give some much wanted break during the exams time. The get to

together arranged by the Chairman at his residence saw few kids take some

much needed break. While all the guys were busy playing Poker , the kids were

busy dancing to the tunes of songs played near by dancing on the terrace.

Sept 27th :

Twlkr.Dhruv Khara celebrated his birthday and was greeted by the convenor

with a cake of his favourite flavour. The bday boy enjoyed the cake amid busy

exam schedule.

Sept 30th :

One rabbit , bunch of kids , pot lock lunch with lots of colors and diyas have filled

the day. A multitask day filled up with HR , fellowship working towards the fund

raiser with the help of the twinklers. Wow !

It was around 1300 hrs , that the all tablers , ladies and twinklers gathered at

Tr.Sandeep Choudari’s residence for potlok lunch. The idea was to make the kids

paint the diyas before the diwali festival and later sell the same diyas. The money

generated by the sales will add to the kitty of fund raiser.

An excellent HR by Sq.Leg.Aanand Khara explaining the importance of the

festival and later as they say was just pure fun, frolic and some much refreshing

fellowship.A Perfect Sunday for the kids to relax especially after the hectic

schedule of completion of their exams.

Sept 16th :

An amount of Rs. 1200/- was raised in the form of selling tickets at the Park hotel. This

was the very first event held at Park hotel after the offer was given by Tr.Jaydeep.

Two events are planned for the coming days. The hand made Diyas made by the

twinklers will be sold prior the Diwali.

A major fund raiser is planned for Nov 10th for which details will be circulated.

Sept 18th :

Ganesha goes green ; Distribution of 600 idols at morning 1000 Hrs in the heart of the

city had given good mileage and coverage. The event was also covered in the local TV

channel , TV 5.

For the RTI extension planned at Singapore, the table has sent 7 prospects names to

Tr.Ashwinni. Some of the prospects attended the first contact meet held on Sept 15th at

Singapore.

Tr.Deepak and Tr.Ameet attended RT International meet, “Wah India” which was held

at Hyderabad.

The Secretary has been sending all the emails , notifications , updates received to the

table on time to time. All minutes have been circulated to all across RTI within 24 hours

on completion of the meeting. Even the minutes are updated on MOMO on regular basis.

Tr.Dr.Raghu has been instrumental in taking the table to greater heights. This

year is even more special, as two nominations for the National posts are being

sent to RTI for the year 2013-14. Tr.Deepak for NVP and Tr.Dr.Raghu for TTE.
