Appendix F: Construction Cost Estimate A preliminary construction cost estimate was developed for the preferred conceptual desi
were identified and rough quantity take‐offs were developed. Unit costs were assigned ba
historical cost data from the District of Columbia, DDOT and other sources. It is assumed t
phase will be a separate construction contract. Costs are based on 2010 dollars with a 20%
applied to total cost for each phase. The estimate does not include further costs for engin
or acquisition of any right‐of ‐way or easements. As previously stated the estimate was br
anticipated design phases. A more detailed breakdown of the cost estimate is located in th
tables.
