Text from Year four

Be patient can you hear the storm coming?

Identifying local dangers!

Planning & Collaborating on what to do

Windows and Glass Doors need Taping!

Sleeping bags were brought in and the corrugated cardboard and materials turned part of each class into a bedroom.

Soft Toys to cuddle were considered important. Also someone to listen to the victims of the storm.

ICT used for labeling areas.

No sand available so these 2 used the bark from the Adventure Playground to make these Sand bags!

Registration area in both rooms all ready to receive the victims of the storm.

The Sky became very dark…it looked as if something was about to happen…

What’s your name and where do you live?

What a welcoming smile!

One very bewildered victim of the storm, injured by flying glass.

The Medical Centre was in danger of running our of bandages and plasters.

Somewhere to be quiet and rest!

This victim was so traumatized she couldn’t stop crying and shaking. The Caring team were kept really busy.

It was terrible but I’m safe here!

Helpers at hand!

Somewhere to be quiet.

Nearly back to normal and time for Questions and Answers!

What a Day and What a Storm!

So many people came to our School Relief Centre.

We won’t forget this in a hurry!

It was GREAT!
