Report of Orientation Program for the Academic Year 2019-20 held on 20/6/2019
Orientation programs facilitates the transition and integration of students to college learning
environment. Information helps to reduce stress due to uncertainty and fosters an active
problem-solving style, an important life skill.
Government First Grade College Organized Orientation program for the First-Year degree
students of 2019-20 Batch on 20/6/2019.
The program began with invocation by Final year students. The dignitaries are welcomed by
Dr. Lokesha, HOD of Commerce. As per the tradition lamp was lighted by Prof. K. Ganapathi
Bhat, Principal of the college.
IQAC Coordinator Prof. Ravishankar B., elaborately explained the code of conduct of college
campus and also mentioned the importance of orientation program. The HOD’s and Principal
spoke about Program Outcomes and Course Outcomes to all the students.
Prof. Shekar K, briefly oriented about the college facilities, co-curricular and extra-curricular
activities. The formal function ended with the vote of thanks by Prof. Priti K Rao, the master
of ceremonies was Prof. Vishal Pinto.

Report of Orientation Program for the Academic Year 2018-19 held on 25/6/2018
Successful orientation programs provide learning experience that help students understand and
make adoption to change.
The program began with invocation by Final year students. The dignitaries are welcomed by Prof. Anjaneya M N, HOD of English. As per the tradition lamp was lighted by Mr. Ananth Pai, Executive Director Bharath Group Mangalore.
Prof. Girish, Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management Mangalore gave motivationa l message to the first-year students. Prof. K Ganapathi Bhat, Principal in his presidential address mentioned the importance of orientation program and gave emphasis on discipline, attitude and values.
IQAC Coordinator Prof. Ravishankar B spoke about Program Outcomes and Course Outcomes to all the students.
Prof. Chitra Padiyar, briefly oriented about the college facilities, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. The formal function ended with the vote of thanks by Prof.
Munikrishnappa, the master of ceremonies was Suraksha, Final BA.

Report of Orientation Program for the Academic Year 2017-18 held on 19/6/2017
Student Council organized a orientation program on 19th June 2017. Mr. The program began
with invocation by Final year students. The dignitaries are welcomed by Prof. Parameshwari N. As per the tradition lamp was lighted by Smt. Mamatha Shetty, ZP member Mangalore, Mr. Mohan Hegdebettu, President PTA also presence in the function.
Dr. Joshep gave motivational message to the first-year students. Prof. K Ganapathi Bhat,
Principal in his presidential address mentioned the importance of orientation program and gave emphasis code of conduct, attendance, discipline and test.
Dr. Chethan Kumar S, briefly oriented about the college facilities, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Prof. Madhava, HOD of Commerce spoke about Program Outcomes and
Course Outcomes to all the students.
The formal function ended with the vote of thanks by Prof. Khandoji Lamani, the master of ceremonies was Mohini, Final B.com.

Report of Orientation Program for the Academic Year 2016-17 held on 01/07/2016
The orientation program was organized on 1st July 2016 by the Student Council for students of first year B.Com, BBM and BA programs. All the students were greeted by reception committee.
The program commenced at 10 am with the invocation to invoke the blessings of Almighty by Final year students. The dignitaries are welcomed by Prof. Chandrappa. The lighting of the lamp, signifying knowledge and learning, was done by the Shri. Vasantha Bangera, MLA Belthangady Assembly Constituency. Mr. Saleem, Executive Officer, District Cooperative
Society, Belthangady, quoted the ethics and moral principles are pillars of success in the life.
Prof. K Ganapathi Bhat, gave presidential remarks. Dr. Chethan Kuamr, spoke about Program Outcomes and Course Outcomes to all the students. Prof. Ravishankara B oriented about the college facilities, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. This was followed by the address
of all the faculty members.
The program concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof. Madhava, HOD of Commerce and Management, who had also compered the programme.

Orientation Report of 2015-16 held on 15/06/2015
Government First Grade College reopens for new academic year. The orientation program for first year students was organized by Student Council on 15th June 2015.
The college welcomes the students to provide information related to academic and non-
academic activities in the campus. The academic committee spoke about the curriculum content. Prof. Rajappa, Principal, GFGC Beltangady was the resource person of the program, highlighted the importance of higher education in the career development.
The orientation program aims at making students aware of rules and regulations of the college.
The newly admitted First year degree students were intimated about the code of conduct. Mr. Ravishankar B explained the duties and responsibilities of students in the college campus. He said the three years in the college are golden years of life and also spoke about Program Outcomes and Course Outcomes to all the students.
Prof. K Ganapathi Bhat, Principal in his presidential address mentioned the opportunit ies provided by the college for all round development of the students.

Government First Grade College, Punjalakatte was established in July 2007 by the Department of Collegiate Education, Government of Karnataka to cater the educational needs of the economically and socially marginalized sections of the region with initial enrolment of 22 students for BA degree course and during the Academic Year 2019-20 serving the educational need of 560 students.

1. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the campus.2. There is zero tolerance for any case reported pertaining to any undisciplined behaviour like ragging, eve teasing, sexual offence, abusive act harassing others, physical or verbal assault, consumption of drugs and alcohol.3. Strict action will be taken in case any student found using cell phone in the class room.4. Students who commute by two wheeler shouldcompulsorily wear the helmet.
