•During the first 2 weeks of March 2019, the DLOs team in EWARN conducted a cascade training for FLOs and 2 Health workers from each sentinel site. The main topics were: Leishmaniasis Surveillance and Response. All those activities are supported by WHO.

•During Epi Week 11, (482/489) 99% of the health facilities across 6 Governorates provided surveillance data for all EWARN Syndromes this week and 93% of reporting sites submitted the weekly reports on time. •The consultations reported this week were 198,489 (including 37% children under the age of five) compared to 199,835 consultations in the previous week. •7 AFP (Acute Flaccid Paralysis) cases were reported during Epi week 11. •EWARN labs reported: 2 positive cases for Measles IgM (Harim 1- Ariha 1), 1 positive case for Rubella IgM (Jebel Saman), 2 positive cases for HAV IgM (Harim), and 7 positive cases for Mumps IgM (Harim 1- Al Bab 3 - Menbij 1 – Al Hasakeh 2). •The highest syndromes reported were respectively: ILI (23,118(, OAD (11,832) , and SARI (534). •Al-Hasakeh governorate recorded the highest proportional morbidity for ILI (31,9%), OAD (18,8%), and SARI (1,6%). •Deir-ez-zor governorate recorded the highest proportional morbidity for Leish (2,1%) and STF (1,5%).

•خلال الأسبوع الوبائي 11 أرسل 99 % من المراكز المبلّغة (482 من 489) تقاريرهم الأسبوعية من المحافظات الستة، وقد وصل 93% منها في الوقت المحدد. •بلغ إجمالي الاستشارات المبلغة في هذا الاسبوع الوبائي 198.489 (منها 37 % أطفال بعمر أقل من 5 سنوات) مقارنة بـ 199.835 استشارة في الاسبوع السابق. •تم الابلاغ عن 7 حالات شلل رخو حاد خلال الأسبوع 11. •سجلت مختبرات برنامج الانذار المبكر: حالتين إيجابيتي IgM الحصبة (حارم 1- أريحا 1)، حالة واحدة إيجابية IgM الحصبة الألمانية (جبل سمعان)، حالتين إيجابيتي IgM HAV الخاص بالتهاب الكبد A (حارم)، و7 حالات إيجابية IgM النكاف (حارم 1- الباب 3- منبج 1- الحسكة 2). •أعلى الامراض المسجلة كانت على الترتيب: اشتباه الانفلونزا (23.118)، الاسهال الحاد لأسباب أخرى (11.832)، المرض التنفسي الحاد الشديد (534). •سجلت محافظة الحسكة المعدل الأعلى للمراضة النسبية لكل ٍمن: اشتباه الانفلونزا (31.9%)، حالات الاسهال الحاد لأسباب أخرى (18.8%)، والمرض التنفسي الحاد الشديد (1.6%). •سجلت محافظة دير الزور المعدل الأعلى للمراضة النسبية لليشمانيا الجلدية (2.1%) واشتباه الحمى التيفية (1.5%).
•The number of the reported STF cases during Epi week 11 was 514, with the highest proportional morbidity in Deir ez Zor governorate (1,5%). •The number of the reported AJS cases during the same time period was 439, with the highest proportional morbidity in Al Hasakeh governorate (0,9%). •EWARN reported 11,832 OAD new cases, and 92 new cases of ABD. •Cholera Risk map was generated for the last diarrheal season (May to October 2018) in the north of Syria, and shared with Cholera technical working group as well. The preparedness plan for north of Syria is being updated with WHO and many partners, and according to the high-risk areas that were identified by EWARN. •Water borne diseases risk scale is being generated and followed on community level and on monthly basis in all EWARN coverage areas. •EWARN informed partners & WASH team about the districts with high WBDs levels.

•بلغ عدد حالات اشتباه الحمى التيفية STF 514 خلال الأسبوع الوبائي 11، مع أعلى إمراضية نسبية في محافظة دير الزور (1.5%). •بلغ عدد حالات المتلازمة اليرقانية الحادة AJS 439 خلال الأسبوع الوبائي 11، مع أعلى إمراضية نسبية في محافظة الحسكة (0.9%). •تم تسجيل 11.832 إسهال حاد لأسباب أخرى OAD هذا الأسبوع بالإضافة إلى 92 حالة جديدة من الإسهال الدموي الحاد ABD. •تم تصدير مشعر خطورة الكوليرا لشمال سوريا وذلك لآخر فترة فصلية ازدادت فيها أمراض الاسهال لعام 2018 (من شهر ايار حتى تشرين الأول) ومشاركته مع مجموعة عمل الكوليرا التقنية، يتم العمل مع منظمة الصحة العالمية والعديد من الشركاء على تحديث خطة الطوارئ لفاشية كوليرا محتملة وفقاً للمناطق عالية الخطورة والتي تم تحديدها من قبل شبكة الإنذار المبكر والاستجابة. •يتم متابعة مشعر خطورة الأمراض المنقولة بالمياه بشكل شهري وعلى مستوى التجمع السكاني في جميع مناطق تغطية الشبكة. •تم إعلام الشركاء وفريق المياه والاصحاح عن المناطق ذات المستوى العالي من الامراض المنتقلة بالمياه.
•In Epi-week 11 /2019, the total number of new suspected cases of measles was 8 new cases all of them from Idleb ( Harim 2 – Idleb 4) and Aleppo ( Jebel Saman 1- A’zaz 1). •2 suspected measles cases have been investigated during Epi Week 11 (Jebel Saman 1 – Ras Al Ain 1). •EWARN labs reported 2 positive cases for Measles IgM (Ariha 1 – Harim 1) out of 9 specimens. •The coordination with SIG is ongoing to vaccinate children in the EPI centers in camps and districts of Idleb, Aleppo, and Hama rural. •The number of the reported suspected Pertussis cases was 36, the highest number reported from Qamishli and Al Bab districts (8 cases in each on them). No complications were reported due to pertussis. •The number of the reported suspected Mumps cases was 118, the highest number reported from Al Bab district (27 cases). •None of the following diseases were notified during this week: Neonatal tetanus, Neisseria meningitis, or diphtheria.

•في الأسبوع الوبائي 11/2019, وصل عدد حالات الحصبة المشتبهة إلى 8 حالات جديدة جميعها من محافظتي ادلب (حارم 2 – ادلب 4) وحلب (اعزاز 1 – جبل سمعان 1). •تم تقص حالتي اشتباه حصبة خلال هذا الأسبوع (جبل سمعان 1 – راس العين 1). •تم إجراء تقصٍ مخبري لتحري IgM الخاص بالحصبة في مصل 9 حالات حصبة مشتبهة وكانت 2 منها إيجابية (أريحا 1، حارم 1). •يتم الاستمرار بالعمل والتنسيق مع فريق لقاح سوريا بشكل مستمر من أجل تلقيح الأطفال في المخيمات والمناطق في ادلب وريفها وريف حلب وريف حماه وذلك في مراكز التلقيح الروتيني. •بلغ عدد حالات السعال الديكي المسجلة هذا الأسبوع 36 حالة، سجل العدد الأعلى للحالات في منطقتي القامشلي والباب (8 حالات في كل منطقة). لم تسجل أي اختلاطات بسبب السعال الديكي. •بلغ عدد حالات النكاف المشتبهة المبلغة هذا الأسبوع 118 حالة، سجل العدد الأعلى للحالات في منطقة الباب (27 حالة). •لا يوجد أي إبلاغ عن حالات كزاز الوليد أو التهاب السحايا بالنيسيريا السحائية أو الدفتريا خلال هذا الأسبوع.
