related people to people-church to church-district to district, etc. Looking at the history of the Kentucky State Association, he praised highly the steadfastness of the founders who saw themselves accountable to each other, the organization, and to God. His closing remarks, "Be responsible Christians."

Association met with the First Free Will Baptist Church, Louisville, Kentucky. The service opened at 9:30a.m. with congregational singing. , : · .· · > · · · · ::

· The pastor of the host church; Rev. Lincoln Varney gave a hearty welcome to the association. He expressed his appreciation that thechurch was so honored. · ·

·We were blessed with a special song by Sister Yvonne Woods. · · · '. ·. ·- · · · ·

Following prayer the mod era tor, Dr. J. D. O'Donnell, read ·Psalm land briefly addressed the association. He expressed his pleasure that the quarterly meetings were so well represented. The Floyd County Conference, due to a failure of the Bus Company to provide oorvice as arranged, arrived late, but all ended well. · · ·.. · · ·, .. · · > ··· ··: .· Committees were confirmed by'the moderato'r. All

necessary adjustments and appointments were'rnade. • · ' · .·.,: ·The· delegates :were· accepted· and • seated· as the

official voting body of the association; Motion carried to receive the delegates as listed by theirquarterly meetings.

was presented by Bro~ Lincoln Varney. He pointed out that at the end of the first quarter of 1980 there was over. $1,500,000 in the fund. The Blue Cross"Blue Shield plan is no longer-limited to a certain locale. There is a"Travel· Insurance" plan available to pastors at a most reasonable·

given by Bro. Rolla Smith. Bro. Smith noted that there are now 97 missionaries on the field. · · · • . · · · · • ~ : ·

The report of·the Home Missions Department was given by Sandy Adams, Home Missionary in Lexington, Kentucky. Bro. Adams cited the need for many more laborers in his area. There is progress being made in the

Lexington work. Property is available if the money can be raised.

The report of the Executive Office was presented by Jack Williams. He pointed out that this office serves above 250,000 Free Will Baptists in forty states. He also stated that every one of these should . be receiving "Contact Magazine." For the sake of accurate records, he appealed to clerks at the churches, quarterly meetings, and pastors to give factual and complete reports. · .

The report of the Master's Men was given by Loyd Olsan. He reported a continuing growth in this ministry. Membership now stands at 2,287. There are four local chapters in Kentucky with sixty-one members ....

· The report of the Sunday School and ChurchTrain­ing Department was presented by Malcolm Fry. He stated that there isliteratureayailableforthe building up and strengthening of our Sunday Schools and Church Training programs. • · . . . . . . · •. · ·. .

The report of the Free Will Baptist Bible College was given by Paul Ketteman. He expressed appreciation for the response from Kentucky though we were somewhat short with our giving.

The report of Camp Caleb was presented by James Cox. He reported that the Lord is really blessing this ministry. A one-week camp was held at Levi Jackson State Park. Ninety-three boys and girls attended the camp. Your support of this worthy endeavor. is needed to make it a complete success. , . · •

The report of the Bethel Bible Institute was given by Dr. J.D. O'Donnell, President. He spoke on behalf of the Institute citing the things that have been accomplished. and the goals hoped to be reached. The financial statement and the new year's budget were also presented.

.. . The congregation sang"When We All Get To Heaven" and "The Old Rugged Cross." A trio from Bowling Green beautifully sang two songs. . .

. Rev. Homer Willis brought the morning message from2 Chronicles 1-3, 7:14 ("If my people,,which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray"). Brother Willis declared "This is what will bring revival." "The need is great in the land today.'' This was a great message and was well received. · .

. ··.The morning offering was received by the Finance Committee. . ·

The host pastor explained how to reach the area where the food would be served. With the blessing asked on the food, we adjourned for lunch. ·
