HAZARDOUS WASTE MANAGEMENT
Dear Sir/Madam:
Pollution Control Association of the Philippines, Inc. Region IV-A, a recognized training institution by DENR-
EMB (COR No. 2019-04-ATM-N), is happy to announce that we will conduct an “Advanced Training Course
on Hazardous Waste Management” on February 11-13, 2020 at the Splash Mountain Resort and
Hotel, Km 58, Brgy. Lalakay, Los Baños, Laguna.
We are inviting your PCO/s to attend this Advanced Training, as its program will be most beneficial to PCOs
whose accreditations are due for renewal. The key learning objectives of this training are: (i) To review the
International Commitments in terms of hazardous waste management: (ii) To review the requirements of
DAO 2013-22 (IRR of RE 6969); (iii) To identify the hazardous waste management concepts; (iv) To identify
and classify the hazardous wastes generated; (v) To identify proper handling of hazardous wastes; (vi) To
discuss the different types of hazardous wastes treatments; (vii) To identify the types of hazardous waste
treatments applicable to their workplace; (viii) To prepare hazardous waste management plan; (ix) To
demonstrate the actual online application for permitting or registration applicable to hazardous wastes and
(x) To identify potential incidents that may lead to PAB Cases.
Training fee shall be Php 9,500.00 and will be inclusive of meals (lunch, morning and afternoon snacks),
training materials, electronic copies of presentation materials in USB drive and PCO’s training certificate.
Fees exclude accommodations. Slots are limited to 50 pax, and registration is on a first-come, first-served
basis.

COURSE DURATION: 20 Hours
This Advanced Training Course will form part of PCO’s continuing education and orientation programs in
upgrading their capabilities in managing your company’s environmental compliance and keeping abreast
with recent environmental laws and regulations. Furthermore, this requirement is in line with the
implementation of DA0-2014-02 (Revised PCO Accreditation Guidelines) and EMB MC-2019-004
(Advanced Training Modules for Pollution Control Officers). Attendance to this Advance Training Course
shall be equivalent to 20 accredited training hours which may be used as part of the required training
hours for PCO Re-accreditation.
The program will be most beneficial to accredited PCOs due for accreditation renewal.
