    Internal Use

V5.2 interface support both BRA and PRA,but V5.2 doesn't process the informationfrom ISDN port, it just transfers theinformation to LE transparently.D channel information is multiplexed andcarried on physical C-channel.B channel information is carried on bearer

    channel.

    Internal Use

This protocol enables V5.2 interface bearer channels tobe allocated or de-allocated based on a call.

The BCC protocol provides the means for the LE torequest the AN to establish and release connectionsbetween a specific AN user port and a specific

    V5.2 interface bearer channel.

    BCC protocol (2)BCC protocol (2)

    Internal Use

The control protocol is composed of a subscriber portcontrol part and a V5 interface common control part.

If a user's service is interrupted by a system fault or amaintenance operation, this user port must be blocked. After the recovery of system fault or the maintenanceoperation ended, the user port must be unblocked.

    Port control:

    Internal Use

An important function of CONTROL protocol isto verify V5 ID.V5 ID: a integer(0~2 24 -1) assigned to both side ofV5.2 interface which must be equal. When the V5.2 interface start or restart, thecontrol protocol will verify the V5 ID on bothsides. If the verification is not a success, the start

    process will be terminated.

    Common control:

    CONTROL protocol (2)CONTROL protocol (2)

    Internal Use

Since the V5.2 interface may consist of multiple2048 kbit/s links, there is a need for link verificationand for blocking /unblocking of a specific link.Three procedures have been defined for thesefunctions, which perform specific link managementat both sides of V5.2 interface.
