GREENSBORO, NC - The Lynchburg College volleyball team defeated Oglethorpe 16-25, 25-22, 25-21, and 26-24 to go 2-0 on the first dady of play in the Greensboro Tournament in Greensboro, NC.
Freshman Erin Heffelfinger (Chapel Hill, NC/Chapel Hill) hit a career-high 16 kills for the Hornets and also contributed with eight digs while freshman Elena Kritter (Culpeper, VA/Rappahannock) smashed home 12 kills and also poured in 18 digs. Junior Savannah Tinsley (Lynchburg, VA/EC Glass) contributed with 22 digs and freshman Kristina Giordano (Huntington Sta-tion, NY/Walt Whitman) put together another all-around game, tacking on 33 assists along with four kills and five digs.
