PAVEMENT RETENTION ANGLE
1. THE PLANS ASSUME THAT THE LAYOUT AND STAKING WILL BEACCOMPLISHED USING TOTAL STATIONING/ DIGITAL METHODS. ANYINFORMATION PROVIDED IS INTENDED TO SUPPORT INFORMATIONALREADY CONTAINED IN CAD FILES USED FOR DOCUMENTING LAYOUTAND STAKING. CAD FILES DELINEATING ALL GRADING AND HARDSCAPEELEMENT SHOWN IN THESE PLANS CAN BE PROVIDED TO THECONTRACTOR UPON REQUEST.
2. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING THEMSELVESFAMILIAR WITH ALL UNDERGROUND UTILITIES, PIPES AND STRUCTURES.CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY COSTINCURRED DUE TO DAMAGE OF SAID UTILITIES.
3. CONTRACTOR SHALL OBTAIN PERMITS FOR THE WORK AS REQUIREDAND COMPLY WITH ALL LAWS, ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONSOF THE LOCAL JURISDICTION, THE STATE, AND ALL OTHER AUTHORITIESHAVING JURISDICTION.
4. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY COORDINATION WITHSUBCONTRACTORS AS REQUIRED TO ACCOMPLISH THEIR PERSPECTIVEWORK.
5. ALL DIMENSIONS SHOWN REFERENCE EDGE OF PAVEMENTS, THE FACEOF CURBS AND THE FACE OF STRUCTURES UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
6. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE ALL NECESSARY SAFETY MEASURESDURING CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS TO PROTECT THE PUBLICACCORDING TO ALL APPLICABLE CODES AND CITY PRACTICES. EGRESSAND INGRESS TO ALL BUILDINGS MUST BE MAINTAINED AT ALL TIMES.
7. ALL AREAS WITHIN THE DRIPLINES OF TREES SHALL REMAIN FREE OFCONSTRUCTION MATERIALS, DEBRIS, VEHICLES AND FOOT TRAFFIC ATALL TIMES. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE TEMPORARY FENCINGOUTSIDE THE DRIPLINE TO PROTECT EXISTING TREES AND PLANTMATERIAL TO REMAIN. ALL WORK INDICATED TO BE PERFORMEDWITHIN THE DRIPLINE OF TREES SHALL BE DONE BY HAND AND CARESHALL BE TAKEN TO MINIMIZE DISTURBANCE TO THE ROOTS.
8. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CAREFULLY PRESERVE BENCHMARKS,PROPERTY CORNERS, REFERENCE POINTS, STAKES AND OTHERSURVEY REFERENCE MONUMENTS OR MARKERS. IF ANY PINS ORMONUMENTS ARE DISTURBED, DAMAGED, OR DESTROYED BY THECONTRACTOR, THEY SHALL BE ACCURATELY REPLACED BY AREGISTERED PROFESSIONAL SURVEYOR AT THE COMPLETION OF THEPROJECT AND AT THE CONTRACTOR'S EXPENSE.
9. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE TEMPORARY AND PERMANENT EROSIONAND SEDIMENT CONTROL ITEMS AS REQUIRED BY GOVERNING AGENCY,AS REQUIRED BY PERMIT, AS INDICATED ON THE PLANS, AND AS NOTEDIN THE SPECIFICATIONS. INSTALL TEMPORARY EROSION AND SEDIMENTCONTROL ITEMS PRIOR TO CLEARING AND COMMENCING EARTHWORK.
10. ALL STORMWATER BMP'S SHALL BE INSPECTED ONCE EVERY SEVENDAYS AND WITHIN 24 HOURS OF A 0.5 INCH OR GREATER RAINFALL BYCONTRACTOR. CLEAN SEDIMENT BASINS AND CATCH BASINS ASREQUIRED TO MAINTAIN EFFECTIVENESS OR AS DIRECTED.
11. DO NOT CLOSE OR OBSTRUCT STREETS, WALKS, OR OTHER OCCUPIEDOR USED FACILITIES WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM CITY ANDAUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION.
12. SALVAGEABLE IMPROVEMENTS: CAREFULLY REMOVE ITEMS INDICATEDTO BE SALVAGED AND RETURN TO OWNER.
13. PROVIDE APPROPRIATE CONTROL MEASURES DURING CONSTRUCTIONTO PREVENT AIRBORNE DUST TO ADJACENT CITY PROPERTIES ANDWALKWAYS.
14. REMOVE ALL SOD AND EXTRANEOUS MATERIAL AND DISPOSE OFF OFOWNER PROPERTY.
15. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ACCESS AND STAGING AREAS WITHTHE GENERAL CONTRACTOR.
16. CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE ALL WORK WITH RELATED TRADESAND THE GENERAL CONSTRUCTION OF THE PROJECT SO AS NOT TOIMPEDE THE PROGRESS OF THE WORK OF OTHERS OR THECONTRACTORS OWN WORK.
17. EACH CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY THE CONDITION ANDCOMPLETENESS OF ALL WORK PERFORMED BY OTHERS IN RELATIONTO THEIR PROJECT WORK RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDING THE CHECKINGOF EXISTING ELEVATIONS OR STRUCTURES PRIOR TO INITIATINGCONSTRUCTION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY THEOWNER'S REPRESENTATIVE IF ANY SITE CONDITIONS ARE INCOMPLETE,MISSING OR DAMAGED.
