    IN 10+2 CADET ENTRY SCHEME FOR COURSE COMMENCING JUNE 20131. Applications are invited from UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATES(fulfilling the conditions ofnationality as laid down by the Govt of India) to join the prestigious Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala,Kerala under the 10+2 Cadet (B Tech) Entry Scheme. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS: 2. Age. 17 to 191/2

    years (i.e. born between 02 Jan 1994 &01 Jan 1997 (both dates inclusive). 3. EducationalQuaiification. Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent from University/

    Board with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and at least50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII). 4. Physical Standards. (a) Height and Weight.Minimum height -157 cms with correlated weight as per age. (b) Eye Sight.The minimum acceptablevision standards for distant vision is 6/6,6/9 correctable to 6/6,6/6 with glasses. Should not be colour/night blind. Note:- There will be no relaxation in physical standards. TRAINING 5. The training isscheduled to commence in June 2013. 6. Selected Candidates will be inducted as Cadets for fouryear B Tech course in Electronics & Communication or Mechanical Engineering at the Indian NavalAcademy, Ezhimala Kerala, During the course, Cadets will be allotted Executive or Engineeringincluding Naval Architect specialisation or Electrical Branch.     (b) Stage I test, consisting of Intelligence Tests, Picture Perception and Discussion Tests will be

    conducted on the second day of arrival at SSB. Candidate who fail to qualify in Stage I will be roback on the same day. Stage II Tests comprising of Psychological Testing, Group Testing Interview will last for 04 days. Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical examina(approx duration 03-05 days). (c) Candidates recommended by the SSBs and declared medicallwili be appointed for training as per order of All India Merit depending on the number of vacan(d) Change ofSSB venue is not permissible. (e) Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dbe addressed to the President of the concerned SSB. Award of fresh dates for SSB would be gby the President SSB subject to availability. (f) No compensation will be paid in respect of any insustained as a result of tests. (g) Return 3rd AC rail fare is admissible for the SSB interviewappearing for the first time for the same type of commission.     being an officer in the Navy are enumerated in succeeding paragraphs. 12. Pay Scale & PromotiThe promotion from Sub Lieutenant to Commander is on time scale basis and thereafter on selecbasis subject to fulfillment of requisite service conditions. The Pay Scale is as follows:-

    14. Cost to Company (CTC). The CTC for a Sub Lieutenant would be approximately Rs. 65,000/-month. This includes Basic Pay, DA, Grade Pay, Military Service Pay, House Rent Allowance Transport allowance. These rates are not statutory and are subject to change. 15. Privilegeaddition to the CTC mentioned above, Navy provides free medical facilities for self & dependeCanteen facilities, Entitled rations, Mess/Club/Sports Facilities, Furnished Govt. AccommodaCar/Housing Loan at subsidised rates. 16. Group Insurance & Gratuity. Insurance cover of Rs. 40 l(on contribution) and Gratuity will be granted to the officer as per the latest rules in force. 17. LeEntitlements. Officers are entitled to 60 days annual and 20 days casual leave every year (suto service exigencies). They are also entitled 40% rail coricession to any place and free travel (asextant rules) for self and dependents. Leave during training period will be as per the Training Pin force. 18. Sports & Adventure. The Navy provides facilities to pursue any sport of your likinaddition, one can learn and participate in adventure sports, such as river rafting, mountaineerhot air ballooning, hang gliding, wind surfing etc. 19. Physical fitness. In the Naval Acadcurriculum, a lot of emphasis is laid on physical fitness. You are therefore, advised to remain fiundertaking regular physical exercise, sports, running, swimming, etc. so that you can meet

    training goals successfully.
