Introducing the Cast of A CHRISTMAS CAROL
Lowell Thomas (Ebeneezer Scrooge) is making his debut at the Canyon Theater Guild, and most honored to do so. He has spent his life in Motion Pictures, Television and the Theater. His professional credits include “The Manchurian Candidate” several pictures under contract to Walt Disney Studios, (“That Darn Cat”, “The Gnomemobile”, etc);; two Tv Series, “Combat”, “The Long Hot Summer” and many Guest Star stints on shows such as “Gunsmoke” and “The Lucy Show”. His theatrical performances include “Plaza Suite”, with Carol Burnett, “It’s Never Too Late”, with Andy Devine and most recently “12 Angry Men” and “Inherit the Wind”. Tom has most recently retired as the Director of Theater at Bishop Alemany High School, after 26 years.
Bryan Sutton (Tiny Tim) is 5 year old kindergartener at Bridgeport Elementary. This is his 1st production with CTG. He enjoys acting, entertaining, bike riding, baseball & playing outside with his friends. A special thanks to Ingrid Boydston for recognizing Bryan's talent during weekly share day, to Barry Agin (Director) & Kimbyrly Valis (Assistant Director) for choosing him for this very special role. He is truly enjoying the theatre. He is lucky to be working alongside with a very talented crew. He couldn't be more thrilled to be a part of this great experience as Tiny Tim.
John Lucewich (Bob Cratchit) has been involved with nineteen theatrical productions in the last three years and is currently writing and composing an original musical. Some of his latest credits include: “That Lovin’ Feelin’” as Phil Spector, “Peter Pan” as Starkey (Pirate), “West Side Story” as Snowboy (Jet), and “Cinderella the Panto” as an Ugly Step Sister, which won him a Goldie Award. He also has written/directed the last three junior cabarets and just completed assistant directing the youth workshop for Wizard of Oz Jr. He wishes to thank his mother Sheri, father John and girlfriend Maia for their support. John Morris (Grandpa / Jacob Marley’s Ghost) is delighted to be a part of A Christmas Carol, and for the opportunity to have such a fun role!! John’s most recent stage appearances have been in Drowsy Chaperone, as Underling, doting on his dear Mrs. Tottendale, and as the Palace Guard in SCRT’s Wizard of Oz. But it really all started more than 11years on the CTG stage with Guys and Dolls… Rusty Charlie lives ferevah!! Many thanks to Barry (my dear Edna from Hairspray!) for this wonderful opportunity to share with our community at Christmastime!! Remember…everything happens for a reason!
Cherrelle Elan (Ghost of Christmas Past / Ensemble) is an actress and filmmaker having appeared on Primetime Television shows like CBS's Criminal Minds and HBO's Enlightened. She recently performed as "Ms. Muller" in Doubt on The Rep East Stage, and "Ms. Blond" in the stage play Reservoir Bitches - the adaptation of Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dog. Cherrelle returned to her High School alma-mater The Duke Ellington School of the Arts and initiated the first High School Media Day. A black belt in Tae Kwon Do she is training for her screenplay, Seoul, U.S.A.inspired by Olympic Gold Medalists Lynnette Love and Arlene Limas.
Dom Senior (Ghost of Christmas Present / Ensemble) Born October 18, 1982, in Germany, actor Dom Sr starred in Aladdin with an American production team (John Robert Powers) earning the role as Jafar. He played an extra in films such as Finding Forester, Six Hearts and One Beat and Coach Carter. He also had supporting roles in O’brother Where are Thee? an Indy Play Production company in Washington, DC. Dom has studied and learned his craft with some of the industry elites such as Acting Model Talent for Christ (AMTC), John Robert Powers and Interface Agency.
Riley Milton (Grace/Rose/Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come) is thrilled to be back on the CTG stage in yet another amazing Christmas show! She was last seen on the COC stage in "The Wizard of Oz" alongside her dad. Before that was "Happy Days", in which she also shared the stage with her dad. She's honored to be a part of another spectacular CTG production. A Christmas show is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit! "Thanks to my parents, Courtney, and my best friend, Madison, for all your encouragement! Happy holidays!"
India Glover (Fan) is in 7th grade and this is her theater debut. She loves improv and spontaneous singing. India would like to thank her family and her best friend for encouraging her to audition. She is excited to play Fan, and hopes to do more shows in the future.
Dave Zumsteg (Dad / Fred / Ensemble) This is David's third CTG performance and he is thrilled to again be performing with his family and working with Barry Agin.
Greg Correll (Fezziwig / Guitarman / Gentleman 2) Having studied at Backstage West, Greg is happy to return to the stage in A Christmas Carol, after a twenty year absence. Credits include A Tale of Three Kings and Joe and Mary, A Christmas story set in the 1950's. Greg currently works as a TV Editor, and enjoys witty banter and long walks in the park.
Victor Scherb (Gentleman 1) is thrilled to be participating in A Christmas Carol. He previously performed in amateur theatre two decades ago in Texas (his favorite role was Michael in Brian Friel’s Dancing at Lughnasa). Many thanks to his sister, Marie, for encouraging him to try out for the CTG.
Thomas Carbone (Young Scrooge) is excited to be back on the CTG stage. "Being in Christmas Carol last year was great and I'm honored to return and tell this story again. Thank you to everyone for your support and hope you enjoy the show."
Jack Anderson (Youngest Scrooge/Ignorance/Ensemble) is an 8th grader at Trinity Classical Academy. He has a strong love for singing and theater. He is thrilled to be given the opportunity to be a part of Canyon Theater Guild’s production of “A Christmas Carol”. Some of Jack’s other interests include fishing, camping, baseball, and playing piano.
Kaitlyn Reuben (Belle "Love" / Ensemble) is so excited to be part of this production! She has been performing with the CTG since she was 8 years old! Her last show with the theatre being Happy Days the musical. She's excited to be back on stage doing what she loves for the holiday season!
Leila King (Mrs. Cratchit / Ensemble) has been head over heels in love with performing since primary school. Throughout high school, college and university, across three different continents she has somehow always found herself centre stage in local plays and performances, in two languages of Persian and English. This is her second major role in a play since her move to Los Angeles from the UK 2 years ago. She is very excited about the show and wants to thank you for coming.
Catie Robertson (Martha Cratchit / Ensemble) has previously been in It’s a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th Street. She is so excited to be back on the stage and performing with her brothers. She wants to thank all the directors for their countless hours of work. She would also like to thank her friends and family for their support and dedication. God bless!
Madison Zumsteg (Elizabeth Cratchit / Ensemble) Happy to be on stage again, she thanks the director for this wonderful part. She started acting at the CTG at the age of 5. Now at the age of 9, she has 6 plays under her belt.
Paul Robertson (Peter Cratchit / Ensemble) is very excited to be in A Christmas Carol. He has also appeared in Miracle on 34th Street as a newsie. He wants to thank the directors for the privilege of being in this show. He is also grateful to his family for driving him to rehearsals all fall. Merry Christmas and God bless us
Mia Zumsteg (Prologue Mom Prologue / Fred's Wife / Ensemble) Having the CTG around has been a great way for Mia to express herself, and escape from reality every now and then. A big Thank You to the directors for the chance to 'let go' on stage.
Irelynd McCarthy (Heather (Prologue) / Ensemble) Ily enjoys acting, musical theater, ballet, playing piano, and hanging out with family and friends. She played young Amy Schumer in the Fast Forward Girls 2015 PSA for Goldie Blox, appeared as a guest on the TV series About A Boy, and filmed a National Allstate commercial.
Sam Robertson (Damian (prologue) / Ensemble) has enjoyed acting in A Christmas Carol. He also performed in Miracle on 34th Street with CTG a few years ago. Outside of acting, Sam loves to play baseball and cook. He wants to thank the directors and his family for allowing him to be in this amazing production of Christmas Carol. Enjoy the show!
Landon Blankenship (Ensemble (various) / Turkey Boy) is excited for his first CTG show. Shows include Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz at Rosedell Elementary. Landon likes to read, play piano, play soccer, and swim. Special thanks to the directors for this opportunity and also his parents and Mrs. Urdank for their encouragement and support.
Kailyn Dawkins (Sarah/Ensemble)- is excited to be performing at CTG. Past roles include Alice, from “Alice in Wonderland Jr.” When she isn’t performing she’s playing volleyball and working hard at maintaining her 4.0 GPA. Thanks to the director for providing this wonderful opportunity. Love to my family and friends!
Emma Bates (June/Ensemble) Christmas Carol is Emma's first CTG main stage production. She loves the theater and wanted to thank her Mom and Dad for supporting her and all of the driving. She also wants to thank her friends and teachers for supporting her, and Mimi and Papa for coming back to the USA to see her.
Violet Paulsen (May/April/ensemble): Is so excited to be in A Christmas Carol again this year! This is her second main stage show here (although she has participated in many kids workshops). Violet is a freshman in theatre academy at CHAMPS charter high school. She'd like to thank Kimbyrly and Barry for this holiday experience!
Emily Rupp (Mary/Ensemble) is excited to spend the holiday season with the cast of A Christmas Carol. Emily has previously appeared in Winnie-the-Pooh, CSI Wonderland and Hello Dolly. Emily would like to thank Barry and Kimbyrly for their encouragement and her family for their love and support.
Carolina (Abbey) Carter (Dollmaker / Woman 2 / Ensemble) Thank you for coming! I am a budding artist currently studying at College of the Canyons, I'm thrilled to be here and it was so much fun working with everyone. I haven't acted since eighth grade so this was a great experience for me. Hello mi familia! Love you!
Laura Grimaldi (Mrs. Fezziwig/Ensemble) was born and raised in San Jose, CA and married to successful sound editor David Grimaldi, has been acting since 2013. She has been in several shorts, a few TV shows, and the feature film VERONA. Laura recently finished shooting a 30 minute short movie as the lead, Shelby, in Shelby’s Vacation.
Kelly Johnson (Women 1 and Mrs. DIBERT) It has been 11 years since Kelly was last seen on CTG as Belle in a Christmas Carol. Favorite roles Frenchy in Grease MET2, Narrator in Joseph MET2. Kelly would like to dedicate her performance to her kids Lilia, Gianna and Daniel and to her Mom Jeanie Johnson for giving her the love of theater.
Candice Feldman (Nancy/Beggar Girl/Ensemble) is very excited for her first professional performance. Past plays, for example The Wizard of Oz, and the West Ward Movement, included parts such as Glenda the witch, and Prairie Child 2. Candice enjoys being on stage but can still experience stage fright, get nervous and be shy! Much love to all my family, and friends for gifting me with such an amazing opportunity.
Dakota Zumsteg (Want/Ensemble) enjoys being on the stage with her family, even though she is still a bit shy. She feels going up on stage is a great way to face her fear. She wants to thank the director for the opportunity.
Michael Smith (Grandpa/Jacob Marley’s Ghost) Michael has appeared in over thirty productions – including Biloxi Blues, Grease, and Annie - as well as Hairspray!, Les Miserables, and Wade Bradford’s The Little Mermaid for CTG. Goldie nominated for roles in White Christmas, It’s a Wonderful Life, and Miracle on 34th Street, Michael’s favorite roles include Sir Bedevere in Monty Python’s Spamalot, Admiral Boom in Mary Poppins, and Smee in Peter Pan the Musical. He recently appeared in The Drowsy Chaperone. Behind-the-scenes experiences includes directing productions of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and Brighton Beach Memoirs as well as stage managing the CTG production of The Miracle Worker.
Calvin Kim (Dick Wilkins/Poulterer/Ensemble) – is very excited to be in his first CTG production.
Shannon Corbett (Scarf Lady/Millie/Ensemble) is very excited to be in this show. She takes Advanced Theatre at Hart High School and this is her 5th show at CTG.

Barry Agin (Director) After appearing in numerous CTG productions, including Sunshine Boys;; Bullshot Crummond;; Musical Comedy Murders of the 1940s;; & Edna in Hairspray to name a few, Barry is thrilled to be directing this beloved holiday classic. As always he is eternally grateful to his family & friends for their unconditional support & to TimBen & the Board for affording him the opportunity to direct this talented cast & crew. And he thanks you, our patrons, for supporting live theatre in the SCV.
Kimbyrly M. Valis (Asst. Director) - Kimbyrly is pleased to return to CTG. While earning her BFA at the Academy of Art University, Kimbyrly directed MacBeth and A Lion in Winter. CTG credits include Little Shop of Horrors and Dracula (AD). At the REP, she directed the smash-hit, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sherlock Holmes & the Adventure of the Suicide Club and Biloxi Blues. Other REP credits include Deathtrap, Doubt, God of Carnage, To Kill a Mockingbird and Sherlock Holmes & the Final Adventure (AD). Most recently, Kimbyrly directed Becky Shaw for PopupTheatreLA, currently performing at various locations across LA. Special thanks to Barry and the CTG family.
Jeni Fitzgerald (Stage Manager) is extremely excited to be working with such a wonderful cast and crew. This is her 3rd show at the CTG. She recently assistant directed Impossible Adventures and Bullshot Crummond. She also spent some time on stage as Goldie in The Diviners at The Rep. Many thanks to her husband Mike and daughters Bekah and Amy for their love and support.
Doug Holiday (Set Design) has been building and designing sets with the CTG since 2006. He enjoys working with wood and has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. He also, occasionally enjoys treading the boards (most recently as Gangster #1 in CTG’s The Drowsy Chaperone). His favorite CTG set to date is The Phantom. Doug would like to thank his design partner, John Alexopoulos for the art and beauty he lends to their collaborations. He is also thankful to Barry Agin for the opportunity to design this set.
Felicia Provens-Sheppard (Costumes) This is Felicia’s debut as a Costume Designer with the CTG. She was last seen in the Hallelujah Girls as Nita, The Red Velvet Cake Wars as Cee Cee where she won a Goldie Award and The Fox and the Fairway as Muriel to name a few. You can also see her on Santa Clarita Public Access TV on her Talk show “Talkin with Felicia”. Thank you to Barry for the opportunity and a big thank you to the cast and crew for all their hard work. Thank God from whom all my blessing flow and my husband and children for their constant support.
