them a unique stability. Bioburn pelletsare odourless and dust-free which
guarantees clean and efficienttransport, storage andcombustion.
EnergyBioburn pellets can produceheat or electricity withconventional combustiontechnologiesavailableonthemarket,includinggasification.
SoilconditionerBioburn pellets are valuable
resources of nutrients and organics.Following energy recovery, the remainingashes can be used in farming as a soilconditioner.
BioburnenergysystemThebioburnenergysystemprovidesanintegratedclosedloopbetweenenergyproductionandenergyconsumption. Thereby Bioburn acts as intermediary between our partners. Bioburn provides bothmachinery and knowhow to our pellet-producing partners, and markets the pellets to our energy-producing partners. To guaranty consistent pellet quality, Bioburn has developed a qualitymanagement system (QMS) which integrates initial biomass sourcing, pellet production, pelletcombustionandphosphorusrecoveryfromthecombustionash.
Theindustry’sfirstwetfeedstockpelletizer.Energysavingsystemmeetshighqualitypellets. PelletizingofwetbiomassTheBioburnpelletizeristheonlybiomasspelletizeron the market that can pelletize wet structuredbiomass. Depending on the feedstock, moisturecontents can rangebetween20and55%,whereasparticlessizesupto20mmcanbeprocessed.Bioburnhasexpertiseinpelletizingawiderangeoffeedstock includinghorsemanure,wastewaterandfaecal sludge, brewery waste, chicken manure,compost, leaves and straw. Feedstock withoutsufficient binding properties (e.g. horse manure)can be co-processed with other biomass (e.g.brewerywaste)toobtainhighqualityfuelpellets.Energysavingsofupto50%BecausetheBioburnpelletizercanprocesswetandstructured biomass, less pre-processing such asdrying and grinding is required. Due to its uniqueproperties, theBioburnpelletizer requiresonly 6%oftherealizedenergytoproducepellets.Comparedto conventional pelletizers, the Bioburn pelletizerusesupto50%lessenergy.
ModularSystemThe Bioburn pelletizer is part of a modularandexpandablesystem.Itconsistsofmultiplepelletizingunits,withaproductionrateof35kg per hour each. Therefore, the bioburnpelletizer can be customized to actualvolumesoffeedstock,fromaproductionrateof35kgperhourupto2000kgperhourpersystem.HighqualitypelletsThe Bioburn extruder technology offerspellets formed by twisting not layering. Thisresults in high quality pellets in terms ofstrengthandabrasion.Thispropertyincreasesthe pellet’s storage, transportation andcombustionquality.Analysesshowupto40%lower abrasion compared to layered pelletsproducedbycommonpelletizers.
