Use this as a guide to assess the quality of your work during the creation process. Page 1 discusses design and narration of the Public Portfolio Website. Page 2 discusses overall communication evidence in both the Public Portfolio and the Private Document Submissions. Page 3 discusses overall assessment of the Distinguished Communicator Candidate. DESIGN AND NARRATION OF PUBLIC PORTFOLIO WEBSITE Rate the design quality of this student’s PUBLIC PORTFOLIO WEBSITE compared to other undergraduates in this area of study. Distinguished Communicators ideally possess outstanding skills in all fields, but may have better than average skills in a few areas. Navigation & Site Construction – Employs consistent page design. Helps users find important elements and move around, appropriate number of clicks to find key materials, etc. Graphic Elements – Repeats design elements for unity, connects visual content to text and purpose of portfolio, uses space and placement of graphic elements effectively, etc. Design Contrasts – Uses color, fonts, and sizes appropriately. Citation & Credits – Proper citation of texts, permissions for graphics, and notes about collaborated projects are clear. (If not applicable, select “insufficient evidence”) Site Text – Explains the relevance of the content and logically guides the reader through the portfolio. Content Selection – Information, documentation, and/or artifacts of disciplinary knowledge and communication skills are appropriate for intended audience. Resume and LinkedIn – Information, organization and language/grammar for the downloadable resume and LinkedIn profile are audienceappropriate, well constructed and effective.
