Company: AMBA Research

Profile Offered: Role of an analyst.

Round 1 - 10 multiple choice questions based on 2 paragraphs given and the options

are very close and confusing. The paragraph must be read properly before answering

them.

Round 2 - This includes many other sub rounds; we had to answer 4 sets of question

papers.

• First one will be on basic 5th std level maths,

• Second on financial accounting, everything related to finance in general,

• Third on ATD, i.e. attention to detail where one had to locate very minor

errors but which are important in this profession like different font size,

wrong totals, etc.

• Fourth the most important is the essay writing to check our grammar and

comprehensive way of English writing. It is usually on very dumb n simple

topics like the best movie, favorite sport, role model, place I last visited

etc. students who don pass the English test can’t go further even though

they score highest in the other 3.

Round 3 - If selected, one is interviewed by the VP or AVP Vice president or associate

vice president before being ushered to this interview one is required to solve a case

study (usually same case given to every batch). Based on the case solved by you the

interview goes on. Questions are asked on the case and also on the line items of any

financial statement. One should be confident with it ratios and other finance concepts.

Round 4 - Another case study. Basically financial statements are given P&L A/C, cash

flow statement and Balance Sheet. The financial strength has to be analyzed. More of

an open end case. Based on this case we were interviewed by the SVP senior vice

president. Grilling on concepts the reason behind and conclusion on the case.

Once one clears this they get the offer letter n have to give a small excel test as a

formality.
