More strong connection between member.

Common actions of NVDA

Need more relate to members' need

Making and sending the guidance earlier (at latest 2 weeks before, sorry to be late this time, but I believe, all EC should more actively work to make it together!). It may be better to have new comer session, "interpretation" by having mentors and/ or parallel programs for beginners and experienced.

1. People participating in the Partnership Development Forum can read through the material and prepare beforehand. 2. In terms of workshop or discussion which need access to online documents, please kindly provide alternative solutions for people who do not have a laptop and when there is an internet connection problem, because this situation might be worse during the next GA in Nepal.

To have more time to experience local culture by interaction with local people in project site

none

Much space to discuss among the members rather than listening to one or two

1F. Additional comments about the Partnership Development Forum

Everything is good !

OK

It was a pity that there was only one proposal submitted to the GA (ASA) from the PDF. There were opinions that PDF 2017 made too many proposals, but in my opinion, it was better to have more.

I did not join Sisters/Role Based Meeting, Parallel Workshops and Open Space, but there isn't an option for N/A, so I just selected "Not at All", can Julie/Ben please simply make adjustment to my response, thank you very much

Good luck for Nepal

Topics should be relevant to the needs of NVDA and designed together with EC and host

2C. Additional comments about these kind of events in the TNW

It would've been better if host organization found the way to involve all of members at NVDA in the Conference Let's keep it and make it better and more exposure to local youth/ potential volunteers and local wisdom

In principle, it is good to have such programs (networking, promotion) and I still appreciate all the good will and efforts of VolTra even though there were quite many points to be improved. Moreover, it had been our core element to have real voluntary work during TNW (not only Pre Workcamp) till last time that should be revised even for one morning, I think!

I got comments from our volunteers that it is a pity to have the NVDA Member booths set up in a non-open space, which the instructions and guidelines are not very clear, the public might have to spend time seeking for the venue (the classroom) and might even lost their interest in seeking

Lot of members were alone to prepare their booth. It would be better if local volunteer may help each booth

Page 12: 14 TNW GA of NVDAnvda-asia.org/.../Report-of-TNW-GA-2018-Hong-Kong.pdf · 14th TNW (Training and Networking Workcamp) 13th GA (General Assembly) of NVDA Report in Hong Kong, 2018

Not much people visited because NVDA member's booths located at different location, far from lobby.

Preferably open spaces for better exhibition, easy movement of people and chance to feature exhibitors projects via projector screen and proper timing of event

Host can do better to connect locals (organizations and people) and international (organizations and people); International's booth should be placed in more prominent positions and with better introduction

3. General Assembly

3A. Expectation before joining the GA

To grow a common vision for next year and to make plans to make society better

Clear action plans for NVDA with active involvement of members

Evaluation of our works together as NVDA members and the work of EC

Same as what mentioned for PDF During the last GA, a lot of proposals have been approved, I expect to see the result/ progress. Also, there are still

some problems left to be unsolved for many times, e.g. the legal status of NVDA, I expect to see some solutions or at least proposals to deal with it.

No expectation To know the important issues and meet friends among NVDA

To evaluate the progress of last 2 years and select powerful EC for next 2 years.

To understand the situation of NVDA and get to know more members

love

To be honest, I didn't like the discussion 'Whether do we need to vote for new action proposals?' 'why not just do it in working group?'. These discussions seemed quite rude to those who worked on proposals as a strategic plan of NVDA and also seemed like waste of time. I wish we could have focused on the contents of proposals themselves.

More unofficial time for participants to discuss and develop partnership

Put more clear space of bilateral with members & guests

Same as what mentioned for PDF. Thus, more plans from the EC, WGs and members should be proposed beforehand!

I sincerely hope that we would be able to settle the problem of NVDA legal status and bank account next year more active participation from members and commitment, not letting any member leave GA without clear reason.

none

Explanation of last year progress of NVDA and plan for next year. introduce a Common activity (ies) to highlight NVDA

Emphasize relationship building and valuing members needs and capacities

3E. Additional comments about the GA

Thank you very much for preparing and organizing!

OK

Though there are many points to be improved/ developed, the EC and Sec. have made the best efforts and it's been wonderful to have worked on it! Though we should have free discussion with various point of view, there were still quite some moments which were not acceptable for me such as suddenly raising the unrelated/ unproductive/ unnecessary topics, confusing the direction to the EC proposals/ plans made from EC members, etc.

People who left the GA without clear reason should raise their sense of belonging of NVDA

Provide session on members updates and group dynamics

5. Any additional comments?

Thank you very much to VT volunteers as well as staff for all of arrangement! One thing can be improved: sometimes no VT staff/ volunteers accompanied with NVDA team when needed and we had no idea what to do and where to go. It might've been a good idea if at least 1VT staff was with us or if VT announced more concrete instruction beforehand.

Thank EC for your great commitment, thank VolTra for great effort of hosting and thank secretariat for being hard-working

Luxurious but feels separated from each other with hotel style. *this is not a complaint.

Thanks to all the efforts of VolTra team! After all, it was a very good TNW & GA with a lot of exchanges, ideas, hopes and smiles as well as all the past GAs. I hope, NVDA can keep friendly, open, crazy, creative and cooperative atmosphere forever!

Macau and Hong Kong share the same language, therefore I definitely will not have any problem finding my way, but if I am a foreigner, I will sincerely doubt the hospitality of Voltra, because there was not any clear instructions after the public event, we had to go to find our food/hostel on our own, and it was also the rush hour for Hong Kong too

Though the venue was great, but the wifi sometimes annoying me. Often cut off in sudden and difficult to reconnect

Thank you!
