Help a Veteran Local VA representative, Brent Temple, is tasked with helping homeless veterans in our area find affordable housing, and he could use our help with furnishings.
Do you have any of the following household furnishings that you would be willing to donate for this worthy cause? Dining or side tables, dining chairs, recliners, pots & pans, etc.
Please call Larry Dempsey at 706-769-6852 if you can help. Larry will coordinate the pick up of your items to assist a veteran in need.
CATHOLIC CENTER MISSION STATEMENT
The Catholic Center at the University of Georgia is a
Eucharistic Community that seeks to live the gospel of
Jesus Christ in the tradition of our Roman Catholic faith
and the spirit of St. Francis. As Christian disciples we are
charged to answer Christ’s call for compassion by becoming
instruments of peace, charity and justice. We seek to stand
in solidarity with the poor, the stranger, the alienated and to
collaborate with those who serve them in local and global
communities. We endeavor to respect a universe
created by God in Love.

Prayer for the New School Year
Loving God,
You bring us to this day of new beginnings.
Bless each of us and this academic year.
May it bring us closer to you.
May it be a year filled with blessings and fine accomplishments.
Help us, Lord,
to encourage and support one another in all that we do.
Fill us with hope and trust in you
as we face each new challenge and opportunity.
Amen
