Regulating dampers TDRU/PSDRU

The TDRU damper consists o f a cleaning hatch, KCU, a fitteddamper blade and a Tee-piece, TCPU, in whose branch thecleaning hatch can be fitted with precision. The PSDRU is like the TDRU above, but has a PSU for externalfitting. This means that the damper can be easily built into anexisting duct system.

Inspection and c leaning of the ventilation system is very easybecause the damper and cleaning hatch can be removedquickly, and there is no change in the regulation of the system,as the damper blade and cleaning hatch retain their initialsetting. Connections to the TDRU are equipped with LindabSafe sealing strips.

The iris damper type IBU is designed for regulation and mea-surement of the volume flow in ventilation systems. The specialiris design provides accurate regulation, smooth flow and lownoise level.

IBU as a volume flowmeasuring deviceThe iris damper enables the user to measure the volume flowquickly and accurately. The accurate contro l mechanism gua-rantees precise opening of the damper in relation to the scale. The damper is equipped with two outputs (to be connected toa manometer) for measuring the differential pressure, whichcan be directly converted to volume flow by means of the dia-grams.The iris damper is a permanent measuring station and thecontrol measurements can be taken very quickly at all times. Each damper is calibrated individually, giving accurate mea-suring results, with the method error being ±7%.

IBU as a regulation damperThe round, adjustable aperture in the iris damper allows re-gulation of the volume flow with a smooth flow profile and arelatively low noise level. Regulation is easy and fast, and theeffect of the regulation is immediate.

Design and materialsIBU is designed in galvanised plate and equipped w ith a scaleand measurement output. The connections are fitted with Lin-dabSafe sealing strips.

OrderingProduct code: FMU - aaa

Type

∅d1

FMU is a measuring device designed for stationary installa-tion. By measuring the pressure drop across the measuringoutputs, the volume flow can be read off the gauge diagram. The flow meter, which is available in the sizes ∅80 - ∅630 mm,is prepared for up to 100 mm insulation. Installing the flowmeter does not restrict cleaning of the duct. FMU is supplied

with LindabSafe seals.

Advantages of FMU Relatively low total pressure drop Relatively low noise level Prepared for insulation 100 mm Easy to combine with other components Does not prevent duct cleaning

Flow meter FMU

Technical dataPressure drop diagramfor FMU selectionThe dot ted curves indicate the pressure drop, ∆ pt, across themeasuring output as a funct ion of the volume flow, q. The so-lid curves indicate the A-weighted sound power level, LW(A), indB for the duct . Note: Pressure drop data for regulation deviatefrom this diagram.

Regulation diagramThe curves indicate the volume flow, q, as a function of thepressure drop across the measuring output.

Measuring method for soundSound generation is measured by the National Swedish Institutefor Materials Testing (Statens Provningsanstalt) in a rever-beration room in accordance with ISO 5135 and ISO 3741, andindicates the A-weighted sound power level, LWA, for the duct.(For informat ion on frequency d istribution, see page 34).

Note: Pressure drop data for dimensioning deviate from thisdiagram.

Alternatively, the volume flow can be calculated on the basis ofthe following formulae:

∅d = 80 q = 4,78 X ∆ pt , I/s

∅d = 100 q = 7,32 X ∆ pt , I/s

∅d = 125 q = 11,2 X ∆ pt , I/s

∅d = 160 q = 18,0 X ∆ pt , I/s

∅d = 200 q = 31,6 X ∆ pt , I/s

∅d = 250 q = 48,5 X ∆ pt , I/s

∅d = 315 q = 73,3 X ∆ pt , I/s

∅d = 400 q = 112,0 X ∆ pt , I/s

∅d = 500 q = 191,0 X ∆ pt , I/s

∅d = 630 q = 283,0 X ∆ pt , I/s

Technical dataFMDRUPressure drop diagram for selection.

The dotted curves indicate the pressure drop, ∆ pt, across the

flow meter as a funct ion of the volume flow, q. The solid curvesindicate the A-weighted sound power level, L

WA, in dB for the

duct.Note: Pressure drop data for regulation deviate from thesediagrams.
