• Race Relations Act • Then Datuk Seri Najib says that

sensitive and racial statements made by one or two Umno members did not reflect the general views of the party leadership.

• Director-General of the National Unity and Integration Department Datuk Azman Amin Hassan reveals the department had developed an early warning system on racial conflict, in which districts were colour coded, with "red" areas being the most prone to strife.

• The Selangor government bars its employees and students at state owned higher learning institutions from attending courses organised by BTN.

The demonstrators of the "cow head incident" are charged at the Shah Alam sessions court for sedition, taking part in an illegal assembly and wounding the feelings of Hindus.
