Dear Parents, Staff and Children,
Grade 6 Graduation
Last Thursday, we celebrated our Grade 6 students’ first 7 years of schooling at their
Graduation Ceremony. As always, the students hosted a wonderful evening, sharing
their educational journey and memories with family and friends. Congratulations to all
our Year 6 students. We wish them well as they embark on the next phase of their
education and look forward to hearing about their many successes and achievements
along the way. Sincerest thanks to the Year 6 teachers who have spent many hours
preparing for the event so that the students could have a memorable occasion to
round off their primary years of schooling.
Mr Field’s Retirement
After over 40 years of teaching, Mr Tim Field will be officially retiring on the 30th
January 2017. Tim’s long career has seen him work with many children across schools
in the western and northern suburbs. Much of his career has been here at Sunbury
West where he has spent the past 17 years. Tim has worked as both a classroom and
specialist teacher, sharing his skills and talents across the curriculum. Tim has fond
memories of his life teaching and of the children he has taught, particularly at our
school where he has had the opportunity to see many former students grow up and
become citizens in our community. Tim leaves us with memories of his experience,
humour and love of working with children. We wish Tim all the very best as he
embarks on his new career called ‘Retirement’.
Carols On The Green
Thankyou to the small but enthusiastic group of students who represented our school
at Carols on the Green on Saturday night. They have spent many weeks rehearsing
during lunchtimes and were very excited at the prospect of participating in this
community event. Mrs Campbell joined them on the evening and was very proud of
their performance.
Please see inside for my final note…...

This year has been a very busy, but an extremely rewarding one for all involved. The students have displayed great leadership
