• Assign a Programme Analyst and PIU for quality control and

assurance, monitoring and follow-up of project issues for

effective implementation .

• Receive and administer the funds from Donors.

• Review all received progress reports from the CMWU to

ensure full accountability and compliance.

construction supervision.

• Follow up on the land acquisition issue for the infiltration

basins;

• Secure the power supply needed to run the treatment facility;

• Agreement with UNDP on cooperation and implementation;

• Review and Approve any changes to the detailed designs and

specifications of the project that had already been approved in

the design stage as of Dec. 2010 ;

• Assign focal persons to ensure that the quality is maintained in

the tendering and implementation stages.

• Assign a mechanical and electrical engineer at the construction

stage and report directly to the Project Manager;

• Responsible for the implementation of the infiltration basins;

• Receive the funds from UNDP/PAPP to manage the capacity

development component and prepare progress reports in that

respect;

• Assign a team responsible for operation and maintenance, during

the one year operation stage.

• Follow up on the land acquisition issue for the infiltration basins.

• Work closely with counterparts to secure the land for the

infiltration basins and the construction permits;

• Support in presenting the project objectives to the residents of

Khan Younis Governorate;

• Play a key role with UNDP/PAPP in responding to the

residents’ concerns;

• Participate at the project board as senior beneficiary of the

project and attend quarterly and annual review meetings.
