I've been selling on Amazon (via the FBA program) for over 2 years now (And I've been a 'regular' Amazon seller for 4+ years, and an eBay seller since 1998). I've discovered the MOST UNUSUAL items can fetch BIG profits when you sell them on Amazon/eBay.

You probably already know that families who buy board games and toys ultimately regard them as 'throwaway' items – things that go in the trash come Spring cleaning, and/or end up as charitable donations to their local thrift stores.

But on AMAZON or eBAY, SOME of these toys are a 'hit' and can sell up to 1000% or more of their thrift store's price (or the price at a local yard sale, or via Craigslist in your town, or from your friend, etc.)

This PROFIT PHENOMENA is because many of these games and toys end up being OOP (out of print) but still in HIGH demand (whether they're NEW or USED) by collectors AND kids AND their parents. And many of them end up going on Amazon.com – the #1 online retail site in the world – to find those very games and toys.

FINDING these toys and games is easier than you think – I've found EVERY one of these toys at a thrift store, at a yard sale, or via a Craigslist 'wanted' ad – and paid $1 or $2 each for most of them.

So that's what this guide is for. It shows you JUST A FRACTION of the products that 1.) you can buy CHEAPLY locally (and/or, in some cases, on eBay); AND 2.) are HOT SELLERS on Amazon and eBay.

5 IMPORTANT things you NEED to KNOW before we get started:

1. If you've never sold on Amazon before, start with this free guide (link opens a web page). This free e-book shows you how to sell on Amazon FBA, and although it covers DVDs, books, etc. only, the process is virtually the same with Toys and Games.

2. Important: These are AMAZON.COM's Rules for Sellers:

a.) 'Not new' games must be sold on Amazon as 'Collectible', NOT 'Used'. When you start placing your used games on Amazon to sell, you will be prompted to select a CONDITION of the toy, i.e., 'Collectible-Very Good' or 'Collectible-Acceptable'. NEVER select 'Used-Very Good' or 'Used-Collectible', even if that condition is available for you to select. In this guide, you'll see the words 'Used' and 'Pre-owned' and 'Collectible' interchangeably. Just don't use 'Used' as a

b.) Don't sell ANY used toys/games if they are not 100% complete with ALL pieces and parts and in perfect working order.

4. 'Profit Proof' - I've sold at least 90% of the toys recommended in this guide, many times more than once per toy. HOW TO FIND the TOYS and GAMES Mentioned in THIS GUIDE

I hope you enjoyed this guide. You're probably wondering 'how do I get my hands on any of these toys'? Here are TEN WAYS you can find these toys, AND simultaneously have the toys 'come to you':

1. (FREE) One of the most successful ways is to place a 'wanted' ad on Craigslist (see pg 134). I know several other Amazon sellers who do this. This process is covered on Page 134. (If you want to use my photos of games/toys in this guide for your Craigslist ad (or any other ad) feel free – this video tutorial shows you how – click here.) (You may need to download & install Adobe Flash (free) to view the video)

2. (FREE) You can also place a free ad on Freecycle.org. (Same concept as #1 above). They're a little touchy how you word things so make sure you read their rules before you post

3. (FREE/Low-cost) You can place an 'items wanted' ad in your local newspaper or pennysaver. Believe me even if you have to pay $25 or $50 a month for an ad, you will be making back the $ in no time

4. (FREE) Make a list of the games you want, and hand it to your local thrift store owner/manager. Tell them you will pay them $1 extra over their regular price if you can have 'first dibs' on their inventory. This method may not work well with the major thrift store chains (i.e. Goodwill, Salvation Army, Savers, etc) but your local mom-and-pop thrift stores should be cooperative

5. If you are already selling NEW items (any type of merchandise) on eBay (or on Amazon IF you ship the items from home), why not include a note that says you buy USED games? In the note, ask them to email you a list of any used toys or games they have that are 100% complete. When you get their email, you can look up the value of each game on Amazon so you know what to buy. Then send them a money order for a pre-negotiated price for the games. You can also do what I do: send them a big box (empty), with your money order in the box, so they can use that box to ship you all the games. (There is a level of trust that has to occur here, obviously. The fact that they've already bought something from you makes them (hopefully) trustworthy enough that when they receive your money order/prepaid box, they will package the games in the box and ship it to you as you asked them to.)

6. (FREE) Find your local area's yard sale ads on Craigslist. Email the person who placed the ad either before, during, or after the yard sale and solicit them to buy any leftover games. Better yet, wait until the yard sale is winding down and ask them if you can take any of their games 'off their hands'. It's your choice of whether or not you want to offer them any $.

7. (FREE) Do step 5 above but in-person at the yard sales you find by driving by or by finding in the local newspaper/classifieds.

8. (FREE) Send an email out to your friends and family and ask them to gather up any of the games in this document that you want to resell.

9. (FREE) Contact your local area churches and ask them if they have games (leftover from church sales, etc.) they'd like to give to you in exchange for a small donation to the church.

10. (FREE/Low-cost) place 'Used Toys/Games Wanted' flyers or postcards up at local community halls, churches, libraries, etc. (Be sure to ask the administration at each facility for permission). You can say 'a portion of the proceeds will go to a local charity', just make sure you do actually make a donation (donations can be tax-deductible, be sure to speak with an accountant).

RULES and TIPS TO REMEMBER to AVOID NEGATIVE BUYER FEEDBACK

1.) For Amazon Sellers: 'Not new' games must be sold on Amazon as 'Collectible', NOT 'Used'. When you start placing your used games on Amazon to sell, you will be prompted to select a CONDITION of the toy, i.e., 'Collectible-Very Good' or 'Collectible-Acceptable'. NEVER select 'Used-Very Good' or 'Used-Collectible', even if that condition is available for you to select. In this guide, you'll see the words 'Used' and 'Pre-owned' and 'Collectible' interchangeably. Just don't use 'Used' as a condition for any toy. 2. Don't sell ANY used toys/games if they are not 100% complete with ALL pieces and parts and in perfect working order.

3. Don't use tape to close up the game boxes (even if there is already tape stuck on the box. Use a rubber band or some stretch wrap.

4. Do not leave a readable price sticker on the box. Trust me customers will backlash via feedback “The game had a toysrus sticker for $5.99 and he sold it to me for $29.95! Crook!”. Use this 'miracle' tool to easily remove stickers from a box.

5. For Amazon sellers: don't sell an item with the condition 'NEW' unless it's what YOU would want as 'New' if YOU bought the same item on Amazon. From the customer's perspective' 'NEW' means no sticker remnant, no tears in the cellophane, no damage or trauma or scars to the exterior packaging. Choose 'Collectible - Like New' if the item has a couple of minor exterior packaging flaws, or 'Collectible - Very Good' if the item has more than a couple of minor exterior packaging flaws.

6. For Amazon sellers: 'Pleasantly surprise' your customer by 'stepping down' one condition in your listing. i.e. If you have an item that is in 'Good-Collectible' condition, list it as 'Acceptable'. This is a good practice to get into so you are not inadvertently 'over-promising' the condition.

7. If a game has any amount of dirt or scum or baby snot or anything else that can't be easily wiped off – DON'T SELL IT.
