LAND OCEAN ATMOSPHERE ENVIRONMENT SOCIETY SPACE HORTICULTURE CROPS ASSESSMENT Horticulture includes fruits, vegetables, spices, flowers and medicinal & aromatic plants. Horticulture sector is a major driver for the growth of Indian agriculture. India is the second largest producer of fruits and vegetables in the world. The total area occupied by horticultural crops in India was 23.69 Mha and total production was 268.8 MT in 2012-13.
