Office Assistant Job Opening
St. Vincent’s has a part-time opening for a paid office assistant working 6 hours a week. The job requires knowledge of Microsoft Word, Internet and phone
skills, as well as organizational skills and close attention to details. Some basic music knowledge and familiarity with the Mass would be helpful. Duties include setting
up music binders for the Liturgy, phoning seniors, maintaining and assisting with mailings.
If interested, please email Marie Bernadett: [email protected] or Sr. Eleanor Guerin:
[email protected] with the subject line “Office Assistant,” or by phone at 489-5408
(ext. 104 for Sr. Eleanor; ext. 111 for Marie).
Estate Planning
When doing estate planning, consider including St. Vincent’s in your will so our good work can continue
after you have gone home to God!

Bible Study:
Hope, An Anchor in Today's World. Hope is one of the great virtues, a sign of our trust in God. Yet there are times when we feel hopeless or distant from God. These reflections on a psalm, a Pauline passage and a gospel passage help us go beyond our feelings to a deeper truth about God's abiding presence in our lives. Dates for this program are October 9, 16 and 23.
Empty Nest, Time for Letting Go. When children or other loved ones move out of the house, we may feel loneliness, a lack of purpose and even grief. Reflections from scripture comfort and challenge any of us with an empty nest. Dates for this program are November 6, 13 and 20.
Sessions will be on Tuesdays at 2:00 & 7:00PM in the Parish Hall. You may sign up after the Masses on September 29-30. The cost is $6 for each. For more information, contact Barbara Bailey at [email protected].

St. Vincent’s on a Mission 2018 “Embracing Our Neighbor”
SVOAM 2018 will continue to focus on building and strengthening relationships with our neighbors. Our
neighbors are the food insecure and men, women, and families who are homeless. All of us, and especially those who are our most vulnerable , are impacted by
ecological devastation.
This Fall, several opportunities to participate in service at local nonprofits will focus on food insecurity,
homelessness, and care for the environment. Each service activity will include supporting the work of a local nonprofit and an educational component that highlights the structures, systems, and obstacles that
prevent those who are affected by poverty and ecological devastation from improving their life.
Save the date for the following SVOAM programs:
October TBA Pizza and game party for children residing in Copson House, a St. Catherine’s Residence
for children ages 5-13
November 18th Youth Service Day Snack Bags for People living on the Streets
If you have any questions please contact Angela Warner at [email protected]

the Spirit nudging you, please e-mail Sr. Eleanor at [email protected] or call the office at 518-489-5408 to talk
about possibilities.
