Winter months at Big Rock Resort are a beautiful time of year and we have seven cabins for rent. Guests enjoy incredible ice fishing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling or just a peaceful winter getaway in Minnesota’s north woods.

Nothing beats a good meal after a day on the lake, so we provide our guests with completely furnished kitchens, including microwave ovens.

Big Rock Resort offers recreational opportunities for people of all ages. The pool area includes a large, heated swimming pool, hot tub and large sun deck. Other amenities include basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, shuffleboard, pickleball and a horseshoe pit. We also have a swim area with a large floatation platform which provides hours of climbing and jumping fun.

The resort also offers many activities during the week, including kids’ fishing tournaments, Texas hold’em tournaments, hot dog and chilli feed as well as other events. And don’t forget to stop up in the lodge for one of the best (and biggest!) ice cream cones you’ll find anywhere.

Don’t have your own boat? Big Rock Resort has a fleet of boats for rent by the day or week. From spacious 25’ pontoons to more dedicated fishing boats (18’6” Polar Kraft or a brand new Alumacraft), we have options to get you on the water. And that doesn’t just mean fishing! The kids love to be towed (just ask them!) and sunset cruises offer a relaxing beauty. We also offer complete dock services including free fish cleaning, packaging and freezing.
