CHINA’S GUIZHOU FIRE DEPARTMENT CHOOSE GOLIATH GORE-TEX® FIRE BOOTS IN NEW DEAL

In one of their latest export deals Goliath Footwear has delivered thousands of FB300GTX

Poseidon Firefighter boots to the Chinese province of Guizhous. The new deal with Guizhous

Fire Department, who were heavily involved in rescue efforts after the Great Sichuan earthquake,

will kit out fire crews in the mountainous province, covering an area of around 68,000 square

miles with over 34 million people. The boots were chosen following a tender process with a

Beijing based partner, to manufacture and supply high performance, durable Firefighter boots

suitable for the geographic and environmental features of the Chinese region. The news follows

recent success of a renewed UK contract with North West Fire and Rescue Services for another

4 years.

Renowned for its Dual Density Rubber Soling technology (DDR), Goliath Footwear has built a

reputation for reliable and durable footwear for hazardous environments. Together with their

technology partners GORE-TEX®, CORDURA® and Coolmax® they bring together technical

fabrics and materials to produce durable high performance footwear in the Utilities,

The footwear selected by Guizhous FD is required to withstand considerable adverse weather,

extreme adverse terrain and fuel / oil contaminants underfoot in order that fire crews can

confidently carry out their rescue role. During trials Goliath’s DDR sole outlasts alternative sole

types for durability, comfort and cost effectiveness for heavy industrial and hazardous terrain.
