Wire Rope Cross Section

The 3-piece section in the center of the rope is called a “Hemp”. As cable strains when a load or stress is put on it, the steel tends to stretch, and the center steel hemp section rubs together causing wear in the cable. • E600 withstands temperatures ranging from 50 °F to 90 °F (10 °C to 32 °C) and between -40 °F and 180 °F (-40 °C and 82 °C) when cured.

• Although it is not formulated for exposure to sunlight, it may be painted over for maximum UV resistance.

• It is not recommended for use on any polystyrene, polyethylene, polypropylene plastics or styrofoam.

• E6000 dries to a rubber-like consistency that is flexible and moves with adhered material and should not crack or break.

• Allow approximately 10 minutes to dry. Starts getting tacky in approximately 2 minutes and begins setting in. A full cure takes between 24 and 72 hours.

• Remember, temperature and humidity will affect dry time. To speed drying, apply heat using a handheld dryer set on low. Do not hold heat directly on E6000.

• Clean-up E6000 with small amounts of acetone or citrus-based solvents before it cures. Cured E6000 may be removed by cutting and scraping.

Applications• Exceptional adhesion to wood, metal,

glass, fiberglass, ceramics, masonry and concrete. (Not for use on styrofoam).

• Adheres strong to leather, rubber, vinyl and many plastics.

Clear Two-Part Fast Cure AdhesiveThis is a 5 minute fast-curing 2-part epoxy pack-aged in a convenient syringe for easy dispens-ing and mixing. It is used for the fast bonding of wood, fiberglass, metal, glass, masonry, ceramics and some plastics. It sets in approxi-mately 4 to 7 minutes and is virtually unaffected by gasoline, oil, grease, hydrochloric and sulfuric acids and water.
