The Salmon is here

The story can be told very simple:

3 man on a trolling boat with Flemming Snowman as captain.

12 lines out and just waiting in the waters south of Bornholm, called Bakkerne.

At the end of the day, suddenly fish on 10 lines at the same time.

The 3 guys managed to fight all 10 of them. One turned out to be a cod, but the rest was salmon:

The biggest three are 10,9 kg, 10,3 kg and 9,9 kg.

And that was only the end of some rather good days. Here are Flemming with a 13,06 kg fish caugth a couple of days before:

We would like to conclude, that there are salmons along Bornholm now.

There are now 188 boats in the competition. We are still approx. 30 boats ahead of last year at the same time.

Last day of registration will be Sunday, April 10th. But remember the system closes automatically at 300 boats.

Until now the largest number of boats was in 2008, where 263 boats joined the competition. Last year the number was 238.

Sailing to Bornholm

There are some who prefers to sail to Bornholm and to enhance the security many prefer to do it with other boats. Some sail all the way from Sjælland, others take the trip from Simrishamn. We are willing to help to make contact.
