1. What a fellowship, what a joy divine, Leaning on the everlasting arms; What a blessedness, what a peace is mine, Leaning on the everlasting arms. Chorus Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms; Leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms. 2. O how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way, Leaning on the everlasting arms; O how bright the path grows from day to day, Leaning on the everlasting arms. 3. What have I to dread, what have I to fear, Leaning on the everlasting arms; I have blessed peace with my Lord so near, Leaning on the everlasting arms. Psalm 127 (GNB)If the LORD does not build the house,    the work of the builders is useless [in vain];if the LORD does not protect the city,    it does no good for the sentries to stand guard.2 It is useless [in vain] to work so hard for a living,    getting up early and going to bed late. For the LORD provides for those he loves,    while they are asleep.3 Children are a gift from the LORD;    they are a real blessing.4 The sons a man has when he is young    are like arrows in a soldier's hand.5 Happy is the man who has many such arrows [a quiver full].He will never be defeated    when he meets his enemies in the place of judgment.
