“Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country.”

– John F. Kennedy

The following four students have chosen to enter professional military service upon graduation. When asked, the students emphatically said that they took comfort in what a military career would secure for their future families. We celebrate these young men and woman for their courage, integrity and dedication and thank them for making the decision to defend our country and our freedom.

We are Kennedy.

As the last of our underclassmen took their finals, we reflected on this tremendous year. We cheered on our students; they are athletes, entertainers, artists, scholars and volunteers. Their success has kept us on the edge of our seats all year. Together, we also mourned the loss of our beloved Mr. Gillen and shared our stories and memories in his honor.

We take comfort and pride in our storied history but anxiously anticipate our bright future. Next year, every Eagle in grades K-12 will have their own Chromebook. The 1:1 device is part of Kennedy's educational philosophy to create leaders of the future through innovative and student-centered teaching and learning opportunities. We close this chapter in the Kennedy history book and eagerly turn the page toward the future.

Lower Campus Highlight - Kindness Project

Junior High Highlight - Wall of Fame

Upper Campus Highlight - Up & Coming Artists

Mrs. DeJulia’s class completed their Kindness Project this winter. They packaged up homemade stuffed animals to be sent to local hospitals. The stuffed animals were given to little ones who may need a little extra love during a difficult time. Thank You Kindergarten!

Junior High held their Wall of Fame Ceremony several times this school year. It is done to recognize students who go above and beyond. Nominations come from many sources: faculty, administration, office and dining hall staff or fellow students. Their hands are painted blue to put their handprints on the wall. Once dry, they sign their name below. It’s painted over every year and the tradition starts again!

Over 150 participants ran or walked at the 3rd Annual Flying Eagle 5K in Honor of Coach Tony Napolet. The race was renamed last year in honor of our beloved Football Coach who passed away in 2015. Upper Campus students had games and activities set up for kids to play while their parents ran and they cheered all the runners in as they completed the race. Chase Brewer was the overall Men’s winner with a time of 17:41.4 and Lauren (Perisa) Cicchillo ’07 was the overall Women’s winner with a time of 23:15. 9.

We thank all of our sponsors*, volunteers and runners for making the 3rd Annual race such a success. We are proud to announce the date for our 2017 race, Saturday, September 23, 2017. The race is also held in conjunction with the 2nd Annual Warren Homecoming Weekend!

*A complete listing of sponsors will be published in our 2016-17 Annual Report.
