Introducing SphygmoCor Version 8.0 Cardiovascular Management Suite
This slide-set highlights the new features of SphygmoCor Version 8.0 Cardiovascular Management Suite Software, with emphasis on the key enhancements that are included in this release.
This software release features significant improvements in the presentation of key parameters against normal reference ranges, including the central blood pressures that were recently shown in the STRONG heart study and CAFE substudy of the ASCOT trial to be of independent predictors of cardiovascular risk.
Importantly, all existing data for upgraded systems previously running Version 7.1 is automatically uploaded into Version 8.0.
Version 8.0 provides the platform for Heart Rate Variability as an add-on option which will become available in the near future (following 510k clearance in the USA and CE Mark in Europe). This add-on option is currently available in selected countries in the Asia-Pacific Region.
3
Greater emphasis on clinical presentation of central blood pressure and other key central cardiovascular parameters.
Improved confidentiality with Privacy Button and hiding of family names.
Patient Results now displayed over 3 screens to enhance the presentation of clinical information.
• Clinical Screen shows numerical values of patient measurements and reference range, as well as a bar graph with data plotted against reference normals.
• Detailed Screen, which still provides information relating to both the radial and central waveforms, along with quality control data.
• Reference range screen added.
SphygmoCor Version 8.0 Cardiovascular Management Suite: Overview
4
Central systolic pressure and central pulse pressure is now available with respect to normal reference ranges, both numerically and graphically.
Both adjusted and unadjusted Augmentation Index (AIx) plotted against normal reference range for greater clarity of the effect of heart rate for this parameter.
An additional graph for sub-endocardial viability ratio (SEVR) showing patient measurement against reference range provided to complement the existing graph.
PWV carotid-femoral measurements plotted on graph against normal reference range

Enhanced Clinical Screen
6
Peripheral blood pressure measurements moved to the study panel and central blood pressure measurements clearly displayed together with other key central clinical parameters.
Central systolic pressure and central pulse pressure now available with respect to normal reference ranges, both numerically and graphically.
Both adjusted and unadjusted Augmentation Index (AIx) plotted against normal reference range for greater clarity of the effect of heart rate for this parameter.
SEVR now available with respect to normal reference range.
See next two slides for comparison between versions 7.1 and 8.0 screens.

Newly-introduced Reference Range Screen
10
All graphs are displayed at the same time, with user choice for the primary graph to be displayed.
New graphs in Version 8.0 include Aortic Systolic Pressure and Aortic Pulse Pressure.
Both the unadjusted and heart rate-adjusted Augmentation Index values are plotted on the same graph against the normal reference range.
The SEVR is shown in two graphs, with the new graph plotting the patient measurement against reference range to complement the currently existing graph.

Enhanced Trend Screen
13
The Trend Screen is now the first screen displayed in the Analysis section of the software, showing immediately the movement of each parameter over time.
The option to view the Waveform Screen is still available.
Bar graphs on the Trend Screen are now color-coded.
These color codes relate to normal reference range (i.e., high, normal, low), enhancing the longitudinal assessment of the patient.
