Transmision- 500kV- 275kV- 132kV

Distribution- 33kV- 22kV- 11kV- 415V- 240V




TNB SUBSTATION

DefinitionA place where electricity is being transform from one voltage level to another level




TNB SUBSTATION

Function- To receive, transform and distribute electric energy- Place for switching activities and isolation of breakdown component/system

- Function achieved by having power transformer, switchgears and associated control system.




TNB SUBSTATION CATEGORY

Type Of Substation

1. Pencawang Masuk Utama (PMU) - normally comprises of 275/132kV,132/33kV

and 132/11kV substation- Place where TNBT and TNBD system are connected- Power transformer capacity normally : 90MVA,

45MVA or 30MVA- 110 Vdc





Type Of Substation

2. Pencawang Pembahagian Utama (PPU) - normally comprises of 33/11kV substation or

22/11kV- Place where 33kV or 11kV system for every

district normally distribute- Power transformer capacity normally : 30MVA,

15MVA, or 7.5MVA- 110 Vdc





Type Of Substation

3. Stesen Suis Utama (SSU)- normally comprises of 33kV or 11kV switching

substation without any power transformer- 110 Vdc or 30 Vdc

4. Pencawang Elektrik (PE)- distribute 11kV system - transformer is normally 11/0.415 kV- source for 415 V
