Product DescriptionBasic UseThe JCM 452 All Stainless Steel Tapping Sleeve with Outlet Seal Gasket provides branch outlets for hot tapping in-service pipelines in both municipal and industrial applications. JCM 452 All 304 Stainless Steel Tapping Sleeves are fabricated to provide the maximum safety factor in both common applications and those requiring stainless steel materials in large diameter sizes, elevated or higher pressure services, installations on pipelines which incorporate active valves, pumps, lift stations and other transient producing pipe appurtenances. The all stainless construction provides protection against hot or aggressive environments for long term service. The JCM 452 design follows engineering industry parameters that address hoop strength, pipe support and endurance to overcome application challenges. Available in pipe sizes 6 inches and larger and associated sized outlets.JCM 452 All 304 Stainless Steel Tapping Sleeves are designed and manufactured to the highest quality standards in the pipe fittings industry. Composition and MaterialsBody: Stainless steel, 18-8 Type 304 per ASTM A240.

452 Flange: Stainless steel 304 per ANSI/AWWA C228 SD with ANSI 150 drilling, recessed for tapping valve per MSS-SP 60. Other flanges available upon request.

Bolts:  Stainless steel 18-8 Type 304 per ASTM A194/A194M as applicable.

Branch Outlet:  Stainless steel Schedule 10 pipe per ASTM A312/A312M as applicable, or ASTM 240.

Gasket:  Outlet Seal Gasket per ASTM D2000, compounded for use water, salt solutions, mild acids, bases and sewage.

Finish:  Stainless steel fully passivated per ASTM A380/A380M as applicable.

Meets:   ANSI/AWWA C223 Fabricated Steel and Stainless Steel Tapping Sleeves. ANSI/AWWA C228 Stainless Steel Pipe Flange Joints for Water Service. ANSI/NSF Standard 61, Annex 61G and ANSI/NSF 372.

5. InstallationPreparatory work:Excavate/expose the pipe, identify type of pipe, scrape pipe clean, measure pipe to confirm outside diameter, measure for any space limitations. Consideration should be given to the type of pipe material to be tapped. Pipeline materials affected by temperature changes should be factored in during the planning stage of the application.

In the event a product is found to be defective in materials or workmanship the Buyer’s exclusive remedy under this warranty is expressly limited to replacement, repair or repayment of the purchase price at the option of JCM Industries, Inc. The net invoiced price is the limit of liability. No claims or any consequential or special damages will be allowed. Any defective parts of products must be held for inspection by JCM Industries, Inc. and returned to JCM Industries, Inc. Nash, Texas, promptly upon request.The foregoing warranties and remedies are exclusive, and are in lieu of all other warranties (whether written, oral or implied) including warranty of merchantability and warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. All claims for breach of warranty shall be presented to seller within thirty (30) days after discovery of the defect in the goods, or be barred.
