Pre-Requisites to work with E-Tendering system:

1. Operating System: Windows 98(second Edition) and above Browser: Internet Explorer version 6.0 with cipher strength 128 bit(This can be checked by clicking On Help-->About Internet Explorer)

2. Utilities required: Three utilities to be installed must on the machine. These components are available on the home page through the 'Download' link. The components are: a) Number to Word Conversion Utility b) Encryption Utility for windows new version i.e. windows2000 & XP etc. c) E-token Utility

3. Trust the website: (A) Add the portal in trusted site by clicking Tools->Internet options->security->

i) Select “Trusted site” and click “Sites” ii) Uncheck the option ‘Require server verification(https) for all sites in this zone’ and type

the website address : http://nrl.etenders.in iii) Now click “add” and click “ok” to save the settings

4. Enable Active-X controls and plug-ins: A) Go to tools- Internet options, click “security” (B) Click on Custom Level to open the Active X settings->

Under ActiveX controls and plug-ins the settings should be:

a) Allow previously unused active controls to run without prompt :Enable b) Allow scriptlets :Enable c) Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls: Enable d) Binary and script behaviors: Enable e) Display video and animation on a webpage that does not use external media player

:Enable f) Download signed ActiveX controls: Enable g) Download unsigned ActiveX controls: Enable h) Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked safe: Enable i) Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins: Enable j) Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting: Enable

Also you have to “Disable” POP up blocker and keep your security at “ low or medium - low”

Note: It is recommended to change passwords on regular intervals from the security perspective.
