schools, and municipal agencies for both existing facilities and for new construction

Energy Efficient Lighting Solution

• This is a typical example of a 10,000 square foot office space. The existing lighting is more than 5 years old.• Existing fixtures are 2 lamp 4’ 40 Watt T12 fixtures with magnetic ballasts• Original fixtures will be completely replaced with new 2' x 4' LED fixtures

A. The fixtures selected for this application are recessed and have a wide distribution to enhance the brightness of vertical surfaces. They are most appropriate for spaces with low ceilings and high partitions. They are spaced 8' by 10' on center

B. Same layout as Option A, except some of these fixtures contain a fixture mounted daylight sensor that controls a series of fixtures around the perimeter of the space.

• Pre-Inspections, Pre-Approvals and Post-Inspections are REQUIRED FOR ALL PROJECTS

• Eligible lighting products must be listed on one of the following industry resources:

Energy Assessment Program

PSEG Long Island provides services for facilities to assess their current and future energy demands and analyze energy conservations measures – free of charge to customers.

Energy Assessment

• An assessment consists of informative walkthrough of an existing facility where existing data is collected on HVAC, Lighting, Roofing, and power equipment. The report will suggest recommendations based on upgrading current energy related equipment to more efficient and energy saving measures.

Technical Assistance Program (TA Rebates)– LEED Certification and Points

• Customer Rebate after proof of LEED certification includes:– 70% of Energy Modeling costs ($50,000 Maximum)– 70% Electric Related Commissioning ($100,000 Maximum)– $500 per qualified LEED point ($12,500 Maximum)

– Energy Engineering Study• Customer Rebates are tiered($50,000 Maximum)

– Initial Rebate – 25% upon study completion ($12,500 Maximum)– Balance up to 70% ($50,000 Maximum)

• Must complete CEP project within a 12 month timeframe, and yield a savings of 5% or more of annual billed electric consumption or demand.

– Energy Star Labeled Buildings• Customer Rebate are tiered($5,000 Maximum)

– Initial Rebate – 50% upon Study completion ($2,500 Maximum)

– Balance up to 100% ($5,000 Maximum)• Must commit to complete CEP project within a 12 month timeframe,

and yield a savings of 5% or more of annual billed electric consumption or demand.
