LIPOVOL® BORAGE INCI NAME Borago Officinalis Seed Oil SOURCE Borage Seed APPEARANCE Clear yellow to golden liquid

Lipovol® Borage is rich in essential fatty acids and is well known for being the richest commercial plant source of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). Numerous studies have shown the topical application of oils containing GLA will effectively repair severely dry skin. Many studies suggest that borage oil has anti-inflammatory and healing properties.

Lipovol® A is expressed from avocado pulp. Lipovol® A imparts a creamy, non-greasy afterfeel. Its rapid spread is advantageous to bath, body and skin care oils. Its low odor, bland taste and high film gloss make it ideal for use in lipsticks, lip glosses and lip balms. A version with 0.02% BHA is available.

Lipovol® ALM-N is derived from the ripe seed kernels of the almond tree, and contains oleic acid (60-70%) and linoleic acid (20-30%). It is an excellent emollient, known for its stability due to high levels of oleic acid. Lipovol® ALM-N provides a light non-greasy feel ideal for use in skin and hair care products.

Lipovol® Argan is pure argan oil cold pressed from Argania Spinosa seeds grown exclusivity in southwest Morocco. Lipovol® Argan contains high percentages of Omega-6 (Linoleic C18:2) and Omega-9 (Oleic C18:1) fatty acids. Possessing reparative properties, Lipovol® Argan provides outstanding benefits in skin, hair, nail and makeup applications and is an ideal treatment for damaged, frizzy and chemically treated hair due to its high affinity to the hair fiber.

Additionally, this oil provides hydration and nutrition to skin care and lip care formulations. It is also suitable for sensitive and delicate skin.

Lipovol® CO is castor oil that imparts a velvety skin feel when used in skin care products. Lipovol® CO is rich in ricinoleic acid, with anti-inflammatory properties. It is commonly used in lip formulations due to its softness and pigment dispersing properties. A version with 0.02% BHA is available.
